To all the people who are on this so-called  "list",  please let me know when ebay gets back to you with their research results as to why your sales are slow.

They will do nothing, they sent this to get you off of their back, they have scans and computer-generated reports every morning and they can see things without asking sellers to manually gather names or accounts.

This company does so many things without the feedback of their customers, buyers or sellers. 

When they break some code, they try to fix it without informing their customers and they take their time to implement secretly without announcements.

My drop has taken place in June.  Not extreme, but have had 2 days with no sales which hasn't happened to me since 2020

I'm going to say its the site and that's an easy call for me. I changed to zero sales for a 30 day period and I haven't changed anything on my end. Thankfully I don't sell on ebay to help pay my bills, I sell on eBay for no other reason than to liquidate my collection and am in no serious hurry to get it done but zero sales per for 30 days means I don't have enough time remaining in my life to get it done. lol I feel bad for those that do count on sales here to get by, it's a very serious situation for those and I hope eBay gets it figured out soon. For example I have 4 Micheal Jordan cards (2 graded and 2 raw) listed right now and they're getting ZERO views, that doesn't happen with Jordan cards of any kind. Before they made the change and removed so called bots, I had 100 + views on those cards and believe it or not one of those bots would actually buy a card now and then. I vote to bring back the bots or whatever the heck they changed. I kind of feel like a fool right now as I'm getting very few sales and I'm paying for promotion on all my products and I'm getting ZERO VIEWS on most my cards. I need to cancel my promotion campaigns for sure, at least till they get this figured out. Good luck everyone!!

Same. I have seen a huge drop in views and watchers. Other platforms have picked up a tick. The economy and market saturation play a role, but I do feel like something is missing now.

PLEASE, quit your pondering and give them a call and at least share your thoughts with them!! and I'm not joking, you may very well be on the right track. There's got to be a whole of folks seriously hurting out there, After reading many posts on this topic I feel very fortunate I only do this for the sole purpose of selling off my sports card collections so my kids wont send them off to the landfill when I'm gone because they have no idea what I have!! lol and also its actually kind of fun, at least when you sell something now and then. EBay is a massive company and I got to believe they'll figure this out but just maybe smart folks like yourself can help make it happen sooner rather than later!👍

We phoned eBay to add our name to the list! Since April (2022) we have seen a huge drop in sales!

We told the gal on the phone to tell the higher ups to read the blogs! After they changed the number

counts views / watchers – the views went from dozens and hundreds of views to zero when they reset! We did the search for unique items we have on other browsers and NOTHING shows up page after page! Promoted or not promoted listing! (that's a scam anyway – promoted listings!) Our drop is sales

has been over six thousand dollars! That's a huge difference from before! We do about 5 to 6 thousand sales per month, May and June so far suck! A good example of items with high views and watchers

would be the 16mm motion picture film category, film sales were way up for us in March & the first part of April before the switch – we were selling “The Rifleman” TV shows prints that belonged to the actor Johnny Crawford. We also had “The Dick Van Dyke Show” network prints these sell very well.

We have consistent record sales with our huge inventory of mostly 78rpm and some LPS vinyl records.

We have about 100 on auction – with zero views and zero watchers – how is that possible? We've been selling on eBay since 2004 and buying on eBay much longer than that! Some of the highlights (or low lights) Pay Pal holding funds so eBay could pay for television spots 2008, Good Till Canceled, dumb idea, Managed Payments, caused bank overdrafts etc, Adding items specifics (unnecessary by the way)

Now this turkey, changing view count. All things have caused slumps in sales, these are a few major

fiasco's there are more! Realizing that we all signed the agreement to use the platform, maybe

since many sellers make a living on eBay, a sellers union should be formed – just like the so called “gig” economy – in fact many of us work for eBay indirectly, many of us have helped to build eBay to what it is today! Maybe all sellers need to start a blog that is NOT controlled by eBay, so we can

go wild and say whatever we want! Looming recession, high gas prices, supply chain issues since Covid-19, war in Ukraine – Bla Bla Bla! Sales suck! Can they (eBay) fix this??????

After reading this whole thread, one wonders if the views count code that was added could be sending at least some of the bots away before they can index the page? Sure dont count the view if eBay is fixated on that, but the bots still need access. Could eBay make such a silly coding mistake... Hmmm let me ponder that. All those whose listing are not showing in google or other searches, this sure could cause it to boot the bots too early. Has anybody gotten an answer on that?

We agree. It definitely seems to be a coding issue with however they are discarding or blocking the bots views. When we look closely at our data. The organic listing impressions has actually gone slightly up over the past 2 months on a daily average even though views counts are down since early May because of the count change, but Promoted listing impressions which slightly declined, but held a specific level, fell by 2/3 over night on Sunday night this week out of nowhere from an average of 300,000 impressions per day of just promoted impressions, to 100,000 per day on average. Our organic has remained constant at about 100,000 per day. Actually it has slightly increased over 2 months from an 80k average to around 100k. So if organic has gone up but promoted has fallen, it is something in the coding with the advertising dashboard and how those impressions are reaching customers when you promote (and possibly organic for people that do not promote at all). It definitely has to do with coding or something behind the scenes. eBay definitely will not admit this though. They will probably fix it behind the scenes but not make any announcement or communicate with anyone on any of these posts that are complaining about it because..... why would they. We will just have to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks unfortunately.
