While shopping, ran across this amusing example of eBay's stupid robots.
Ebay's shortened description - seen even though I'm on a desktop - picked up the line, "Sorry about that" from seller's in-description message to international buyers.
Reminder to self... keep boilerplate out of descriptions, keep it short, or use those "tags" to identify real description. (I don't know how, so I have two options.)
Good luck selling!

I love the idea of stupid robots but I didn't get it... what did they pick up about "sorry about that"? I know it must be funny!

Unless the prospective buyer clicks on "See full description", buyer only sees one line
"...Overall condition is excellent. I am sorry about that."
Reminds me of the Mad Magazine back covers that one would fold to change the message in a humorous way.

With all the warnings that have been given about removing active content and non-secure http links from listings, I really don't think that eBay should be blamed for this.
That listing has two http links in it, which need to be removed. They are for images that don't even appear to exist on the internet anymore.
