There was no need to post the screen shots, especially the one with your email address in it. The buyer's request is a common scammer ploy. Just don't communicate with them any longer, and be prepared to file an unpaid-item claim.
Now that the buyer has your email address, they will probably proceed to the next step in this scam, which is to send you an email that seems to be from PayPal, telling you that you have been paid but that the funds will show up in your PayPal account after you provide proof that the item has been shipped. (EDIT: Maybe that last image shows this, I can't quite read it.) That's not how PayPal works: Sometimes they do hold funds, but the funds will show up in the seller's account, as pending. If the funds don't show in your PayPal account, then PayPal hasn't received any money from the buyer.

Do not ship anything to this person. They are taking advantage of you as a new seller. The paypal notification is bogus. As a new seller always check your paypal acct to make sure the money has been deposited - don't rely on emails which can be fake.
Never fall for them sending you additional monies to buy gift cards ect. Never ship to an address that is not on file with their acct.
Before selling any high ticket items - cameras, gaming systems, jewelry - I suggest you read the seller boards here as well as watch some you tube videos of pit falls and problems new sellers fall prey to.

Stupid but you don’t ship until eBay says item is paid for correct?think I’m getting scammed.
If I want to find out if I have received a PayPal payment, I log into into PayPal and look. I would never rely on what eBay says or what email I have received.

As soon as you responded once to them, you gave them hope. They then pulled out their handy book of scams and proceeded down the list of fakeness.
The part I laughed at the most was the last line. An official looking email from ebay stating the money will "hit" your paypal account once the buyer confirms shipping.

I thought the way they spelled the e-mail was even funnier - service@payppal
This is a complete scam. Stop all communications immediately. Don't click on any links in that fake e-mail. If you already did then you should change your e-mail, eBay and PayPal passwords immediately. Forward that fake e-mail to spoof@ebay.com and spoof@paypal.com - you should also call eBay to report the "buyer".
Never give out your phone or e-mail before a purchase is paid for. Never agree to buy a gift card.

And where will you look for confirmation once we're all in Managed Payments?

The instant he said he would add an extra $520, I would have stopped talking to him.

You made every mistake possible. Sorry not sorry.

If the transaction has not moved into the eBay Sold Awaiting Shipment list, it has not been paid.
Transaction status should NEVER be based upon email messages, only on what it says on the seller's account.

It's good that you checked PayPal and eBay before shipping the package, and good that you checked here. Congratulations on not being taken by this scammer. And, of course, I hope you're not concerned about his ridiculous threat of "legal action." Just open the unpaid item dispute as soon as possible, so you get your final value fee refunded.

I got an email just recently and it came from Paypal, but I noticed that it didn't have the link to the item sold. So, since the buyer had recently bought the same item but different "kind", and since she had not received it, I got into thinking it was a phishing scheme. So, the easiest way is to check your sold items. If it doesn't show as paid, don't ship, that simple.
