Got an offer to upgrade store free for 2 months.

Further down it says I would have to cancel within 30 days to avoid charges.

So 2 months = 30 days now?

How many will miss that fine print and fall into the gotcha trap. They give a 30 day test to see if you want to keep the next level store. You only get the free upgrade for an additional month if you commit to the store for the year.

If I'm not mistaken, accepting the upgrade will re-start your annual contract and downgrading after a month will again re-start your annual contract since you are changing store levels.

Either way eBay is ensuring that you're committed for a longer period of time or paying a higher early termination fee if you back out before the year is up.

They’re hoping you miss the “cancel within 30 days” part, thinking it’s a Two Months cancellation window because, after all, it DOES say “2 months”. Typical eBay misdirection.

We’re wise to eBay’s lies.
