I have clear 100% proof of store suppression, starting March 1st through unexpected events, I spent a lot of time in the hospital for about a week.. I was still active, accepting offers and shipping, but I didn't post anything for a week.. over the past 3 days, I've been posting like a mad man, 100s of items. My page views and impressions are exactly the same, everyday, no matter what. So that tells me it's impossible to grow on ebay. They are also giving warnings now, that your performance will be limited unless you promote at their suggested ad rate. This is soo shady. So tell me, how can you grow, if no matter how many new listings you post, you will not get anymore page views???

The performance of your ad campaign may be limited, not the performance of your organic search placement. There's a distinction. It basically means in the slots designated for displaying promoted listings, eBay may give placement preference to sellers that pay a higher ad fee.
That's unrelated to organic search. Organic search placement is still based on a myriad of factors like listing quality, seller performance, etc. eBay is tight-lipped about what affects organic search placement. The most they'll offer is information on optimizing listings for best match search placement. Do with that what you will.

I didn't notice that. "low ad rate may limit performance".
I started un-promoting my inexpensive items and I have to say my sales have gone downhill.
I also listed like crazy for a few days and it didn't really do much for sales.
My "repeat buyers" keep me going.
I listed my latest items cheaper than others to see what would happen.
The "big boys" who have like 75,000 items listed can afford to promote their items.
I am lucky I do not depend on sales to live from on eBay.
I might have to take a hit and promote certain items again....selling items cheaply doesn't help.

I don't think that you can make conclusions based on 3 days of posting a lot.
I agree with wastingtime. They aren't saying that all your listings won't show if you promote at a low rate. they are suggesting that the higher rate listings may show more than the lower rate promoted listings. I don't even consider their suggested rates as they are way too high for me.

The rolling percentage is confusing since it changes daily.
A three day lapse is nothing to be concerned about.
How were your sales in Feb/March 2023? 2022? (skip the pandemic years as outliers) 2019?
But you do need at least a 30 day view to see any sort of trend.
I've never seen any great sales boost from PL. I do see more Views but it's other stuff that sells.
I'm currently removing PL s to see if they sell better in the 30 day halo after the PL ends.

I posted something last week for a sale. I promoted it 20 %...It sold in I think less than 3 hours. A quick sale.
Funny thing....I guess the promoted price didn't kick in right away. I didn't get charged for the promoted listing. Lucky me.

I'm still waiting for that 100% proof...

Promoted listing is activated immediately. If you were not charged the PL fee then your sale had nothing to do with your ad rate and everything to do with organic search placement and/or a buyer's saved search or someone searching by newly listed. Buyer found your listing organically and not through the sponsored placement.

Original poster.
Your items are not selling because you are posting them way over market. Because you are posting them over market no one is clicking on your listings and because no one clicks on your listings ebay often thinks them not even worth showing.
I looked at 2 of your newest listings. You posted this Yugioh card
Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Skill Drain Dark Crisis DCR-049 Unlimited Rare for $7.99 shipped.
Other sellers have this card for $2.18 shipped.
You listed Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball (Sony PlayStation 1, 1996) disc only for 11.99
Your competition is at 6.99. This is also an item that has 25 copies listed and only 1 sold.
You cannot guess your prices or expect to somehow magically sell your items for more, it doesn't worth that way, you actually have to look up what items are actually listed for.

That's not 100% proof of anything except you've been listing more stuff on a gigantic site which sometimes takes almost 24 hours to index. Try to have some patience.

That is NOT 'store suppression'.
It just means that OTHERS have paid MORE than you so THEIR stores/items are shown BEFORE yours...
which is the ENTIRE point of Promotions.

It is not eBay. Try doing comps. I will say that the US Postal Service under Joe is going to eat you up in income for low cost items, but it will increase your revenue. Selling something as a BIN for $5 with $5 in postage just "ain't" right.

Huh.
I don't use promotions at all. Never felt suppressed either really. But then I don't sell a ton of items either. I just figured its mostly a way to get a slightly higher chance of getting seen but an even higher fee which may not be worthwhile overall.
Thought about trying it a couple times, but figure there really isn't any need. As long as I keep the item pricing fairly competitive and reasonable for what the item is, I should be good anyway.
😄
Good luck though.

I never have either. I still somehow manage to make sales almost every day.

Funny way to spell "Louis DeJoy".
