Hello everyone... I do not currently have a store...planning on going on vacation... am thinking about getting a store as I should be able to put a vacation hold...however in reading is says on fixed price listings... I do auctions...then after auction I check box for it to relist 8 times... is it then considered a fixed price listing... I do not want to get a store so I can do a vacation hold only to find out that I cannot place one because my listings are not considered fixed price listings... appreciate your thoughts about how to best handle going on a vacation...suggestions?? thank you so much... be safe out there...smile... Rhonda

You can either end your listings or increase your handling time beyond your vacation.

Keep in mind that having a store and putting vacation mode ON only lets buyers/potential buyers know that you will be on vacation from X to X. It doesn't keep people from buying from you and It doesn't change your handling time.
I think the best way to do it is to turn on the "out of stock" option (store not required). Set your quantities to 0. People will not be able to buy from you. The listing stays active, When you get back from vacation, set your quantities back to whatever.
Good luck and stay safe!

Auctions and fixed price listings are two completely separate formats. Putting an auction on automatic relist doesn't mean it's considered fixed price.
You have to either end your listings, or revise your handling time to reflect your actual anticipated shipping date when you return. This is the same for all sellers who have auction-format listings, whether they have a Store subscription or not.

So is buy it now price same as fixed price? And if I end listings... uncheck box to automatically relist...and then convert to buy it now price... then I could use the out of stock option mentioned??

If you end the listings and un-check the auto relist box, that's all you need to do. The listing won't show up until you choose to relist it, presumably when you're back from vacation. You have no reason to use the out of stock option. Just end your auctions and then relist them after vacation.

I really appreciate the input...smile... so for instance if I have auctions ending this Sunday 8/23 and Sunday evening after they end or Monday (8/24) uncheck the box to relist the items automatically, then the auction will then end the following Sunday 8/30... and then will not relist... so there will be no auction ending the following week September 6... I am wondering about time frame after I uncheck the box to relist... want as much time with items online before leaving with being down a few days before I head out...smile... again, thank you so much... your insight is very much appreciated...smile...
