Hello - We're relatively new sellers and have been very pleased so far with eBay, but as I've been setting up my storefront, I've tried a number of times over the past week to set up Store Categories and each time have received an error page saying that eBay's servers are down...which seems unlikely since that's the only time I've been getting that message.
Is there something on my end I need to do to fix this? I've cleared my cache, checked over my listings and settings to make sure I haven't clicked on something weird, etc, but I can't seem to see anything.
It's not an emergency of course, but I do like having the opportunity to make store categories for collectors looking for particular subjects.
Thank you in advance for any advice!

OP has plenty of items to justify a store. And, no justification needed.
I'm sure you noticed that @chapeau-noir and I had a discussion about this already. I suggest you read the posts and get caught up.
*sigh*
Why? As I explained to Chapeau, when I made my post the OP had only a few listings posted. I was not aware that they were going to post a couple hundred more listings. There was no way for me to know that at the time of my post. Not sure why you think I should have know or how I was suppose to know that.
*sigh*
I didn’t state that you should have looked or should have known. I’m just pointing out that the seller has plenty of listings to justify a store, and that no justification is needed. I’ve had a store when I had consistently less than 100 items for sale. That store actually did really well for me – zero complaints. The expense was really small compared to what I was pulling in on that ID. It made sense to have things categorized and laid out in the right way. It made sense to be able to offer certain things that were only available with a store.

Please stop. You are making something that should be a non issue into an issue because this is what you like to do. 🙄

Huh? I just commented that the seller
has plenty of listings. I’m not sure what you are trying to do. ¯\(ツ)/¯

Hey y'all - just to say it looks like this has been fixed. Thanks!

@sutterandstpbooks You're off to a good start!
You've got a more interesting selection than a lot of booksellers - if i weren't trying to sell down my own collection (we have two libraries in the house) I'd be haunting it, but if I bring any more books in here the house may collapse.

Thank you so much!! From a fellow bookperson that mean a lot to us. 🙂 Also, there's no such thing as too many books (haha...I say when we've got a house full and *cough* two storage units and might have to start sleeping in the yard)! I mean, not to enable...but also...yes, to enable. 😄 lol. But sincerely, thank you.
