I was searching one of my items to relist it and stumbled upon another listing with MY photos! What can I do about this?

When I see a seller using my pictures or text, I send the seller this email which you are free to use:
"While I am flattered that you like my listing (pic or description) I did not give you permission to use it.
It is not only against Ebay's Image and Text Theft policy and reportable, but it is also against US Copyright law.
If you do not remove it ASAP, I will have no other choice but to report you to Ebay.
Thanks."
Most sellers comply.
I don't think most sellers know that Ebay won't do anything. But I think the threat scares them into removing my pics. I usually get a message with an apology.

I haven't had it happen in a while so don't know if this still works.
I used to take another picture of my item which was assigned a new url.
Then I would substitute another picture for the one url they used - something interesting like dog poop or ...
It would change their picture.
Again, still don't know if it works that way any more.

Yes, when we were hosting our own photos, that was a quick and easy remedy. One could get quite, ah, 'creative'.

This seller is using one of my CURRENT photos on her listing. I messaged her and told her I do not appreciate it. Will see if she takes it down. DMC floss. Only listing she has for floss and to bleeping lazy to take her own photo.

Nothing.
Your pictures are ebay's pictures and ebay's pictures are free for everyone to use.
