  eBay will not allow me to contact a buyer to  explain any possible problems - yesterday it sold an item that had already been sold and I can not contact the buyer.

In addition eBay changed my shipping preference on an item that is  sold and I can not figure out  how to correct it . I've been a member for over 20 years and this is not just an inconvenience but may damage my 100% Trader Rating...what a waste  of time!!!!!

I am confused - on your order view, you should be able to access a phone number on file for the Buyer and you should be able to email the Buyer thru "Contact Buyer" next to your transaction in Seller Hub?

OK , for starters I  finally was able to contact a buyer, only after bypassing  several attempts through the normal "contact buyer" means.  Each prior attempt led me to a completely different, unrelated  item that had already sold.

  My chosen USPS  shipping for this item was estimated and listed correctly. The buyer has paid for the item  but eBay displayed an price for the label.  USPS I'm sure will not accept  a 7 pound,  48 inch  long box to be sent  in a Flat rate Envelope for $7.40....and it's been impossible so far to figure out what's going on.

Sounds like ebay relisted one of your sold items? You can simply contact buyer through the order and then cancel the order after that.

I assume you mean the P-6E Hawk... is 'Retail Ground' available through eBay labels? Sorry, I ship small things...

Yeah, it's the P-6E Hawk....apparently they must have changed the shipping options or something. I've been shipping USPS primarily - may be they're using only UPS or FedEX  or USPS Priority Mail now. If that's so  they've caused me a great deal of wasted time since they still offer USPS retail Ground and other USPS options during initial listing shipping options.
