Change the selling board because we sell for xtra money and to limit it to 600 a year is attacking the selling platform s

Sit on here until 2am and write replies and while some are kidding around with other sellers, I actually try to help other sellers while I am here.
And honestly while we're having some fun up there ^^^^^. It's not really about all those badges. I really like trying to give assistance here because I know how ***bleep*** frustrating it is to call the "help desk" only to play musical chairs while they shuffle you from tech to tech. I've been there and done that one for two weeks and I almost quit selling. I suspended my sales until I could get an answer and....never did. The best help I got was in the forums.
If the ebay officers such as the CEO, COO, CIO and the rest of the alphabet hierarchy had to rely on that sorry *** excuse for a "help desk", I can bet you that changes would be made in a hurry.
That got a bit off track about all my badges....but that is why I have all my badges. LOL.

Many of those agents will be replacing other agents that retired or will be retiring in the next few years. Frankly, I am not worried. I sleep like a baby at night.

The taxes go into Social Security and Medicare which benefits you and everybody else except the rich because some of them have enough money not to worry about it.
I think it comes to 15.3 the one thing you look into is income tax which I believe is 10 %

Actually the proposed increases are just that increases. The IRS does not need any special appropriation to replace retiring agents their FTE count is set by law in the annual budget appropriations.

I'm getting close!! Real close!
I think I'm at about $3,783.92 the last time I've checked.
No...I have NOT made millions here. But I've had some real real good weeks but the last few months have been in the hole. But most of that was my fault because I was not posting items. But I'm posting again and been buying more stock (like I really need more right now...).
I still believe that with the right product and get yourself in the correct niche market (drop shipping cheap Chinese junk is NOT a niche market), a person can do pretty well for themselves here. I've been pretty happy here. I keep looking at starting a side gig at Amazon or Mercari and every single time I look, I quickly NOPE right out and come back. Now I have accounts at both places. I have a Prime account at Amazon but have never bought on Mercari let alone sell.

The SE tax is as you noted 15.3% of the net income and is separate from the income tax rate which will vary depending on what tax bracket you are in and your filing status. The Federal brackets are 10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35% and 37%. The state income tax will vary depending on what state you live in and generally is also dependent on your net income and filing status.

You'll have to point me to the right one first. I write so much hilarious stuff it's hard to keep track of it all.
I should go write jokes for the Tonite Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Was it the $3,700 quip on my way to making millions here?
Also keep in mind I worked for the Federal Govmint for 31 years. If that isn't a comedy zone of epic proportions...I don't know what is....

There isn't anything stopping you from selling more than $600. Regadless of how much you sell & whether online or in person, you should report the profit. Keep Uncle Sam happy & avoid unpleasant letters.

It's too late. No one's changing anything. The time to take action was a long time ago.
I am most interested in the reaction of the tens of millions of Americans when they start receiving the 1099K's after they already have spent their refunds.
Estimated 85-90% are unaware.

I think you really misunderstand the IRS FORM called the 1099K.
You are not limited in any way because of this form. But if you sell $600 or more on Ebay you will receive this IRS form for this year.

We need more clarification on this $600 rule. Every article I read, including the IRS, specifically says TRANSACTIONS above $600. To me, that means one sale that totals $600 or more, that is a transaction to me. Check out the last sentence of this paragraph. If I sold my kids used baby clothes on Ebay and sold over $600 in 12 months for 100 transactions, sounds like that doesn't meet the $600 rule according to the IRS website. Anyone ever get clarification for this????
"The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) lowered the reporting threshold for third-party networks that process payments for those doing business. Prior to 2022, Form 1099-K was issued for third party payment network transactions only if the total number of transactions exceeded 200 for the year and the aggregate amount of these transactions exceeded $20,000. Now a single transaction exceeding $600 can trigger a 1099-K."

As per IRS.gov Understanding Your Form 1099-K
For returns for calendar years after 2001:
- Gross payment for goods or services that exceed $600, AND
- Any number of transactions
ie - 1 transaction or 12 or 121, etc.
