Just got my first one by a ZERO feedback member. It says; "You need to help me find some items like Apple laptop and 4iphoneX."
I need to give him instructions alright, but more where to go and what he can do with himself than anything else.
Anyone else getting spammed on ther PM's? No report button there that I can see?

I haven't had any personally, and hopefully, it's a first and LAST! There is an 'ignore' button at the top of the message when you open it, options are 'friend' or 'ignore' to the right of message title. Not sure if that will block all messages from that same person though, maybe worth a try.

Thanks:) Unfortunately, I just got a 2nd one from the same account. I don't just want to ignore but report... so, guess I'll grab a cold beer and do the 20 minute Ebay phone call thing. Feel it's important enough... if it's not happening all over with others to try to nip it before it grows:)

I think it needs to be reported to the mods not just eBay. Just use the "report" text link next to the delete button at the bottom of the message. I got the same message from the same user.

LOLOL, good luck with that! Maybe, just maybe, since it's a Sunday night, it will be a quick call. I'll think positively for you

Woah! It was a quick call. I demanded to be put straight thru to Trust & Safety and was!!!! Anyway, this is spamming and she thanked me for reporting.
Here's the way to report it without going thru the phone call.. Send a link to spoof@ebay. 🙂

You can block him on the BBL and choose to have no communication with him.

I know, but neither fit the occasion. This is direct PM spam that's got to be nipped in the bud immediately or it will grow like black mold. I would just encourage other sellers not to ignore and report via the spam@ebay place.
You can bet they'll be on it. The T & S rep said "this is a direct attempt to circumvent ebay".... lol, yes it is and yes they'll squash the spammer for it.

Those blocks don't even apply to the boards anyway. You got the message here right? I assumed you did since the same person sent me that message here. We can't block members here on the boards. There is an ignore button on the message but I don't know if it works.

Yea, that's why I posted the question. Seems like, if this is a new trend, we'll need to request a report button on our PM sites. The "ignore button" just isn't right to stop it.
You got the same message... scammers working a new angle apparently... not good:(

Yes I got the exact same message and I believe I saw a thread on another board from someone else who got it (or maybe it was you. Similar user ID). On the mobile version, there is a report link on every message, but it only reports the message to the mods. The report link is a text link right next to the big delete button. I don't know if it's on the full version.

I got the same message from "Sarah" in the United Arab Emerates LOL ... there's a "report" link (very tiny) above the message when you open it ... or a three dot dropdown thing like in the regular discussions

I was getting all kinds of private messages, so I have PM blocked now.
The mods unblock it though when they want to say hello to me.

It's not new. Spammers have been using the boards to send their messages even before there were private messages.
Stopping one ID might make you feel good but it is not going to stop the spammers.

@stonevintage, oh boy, I just got a spam PM too. They are wanting to transfer $24.5 million USD to me for an investment project. They sent me 3 email addresses to reply to this business deal. So tempting, as I could really use a few million...
How did you send the link (the http address right?) to spoof eBay, through regular eBay messages? There is a small 'report' button at the bottom of the message, but it just looks like it sends it to the mods.
