While I personally wouldn't approach my customer in quite that way, as I've said on this thread, I would let my buyer know that I'm not responsible for stollen packages and I'd give them some ideas of what they might do.
It is only a "huge risk" for selling here if sellers began replacing these items that are stollen. There is no Ebay rule that says this is something we are responsible for.

Items that are "stollen" in my house get eaten; it's a German Christmas bread.
As for porch pirate-stolen stuff, we're allegedly not responsible, but take that with a grain of salt. eBay is a past master at broken promises.
