Sorry, community chat window was closed to reply, i saw your below reply and i need some verification  as you are  professional qualified cs.

"Hi @uniwarehousewares - we allow all members up to 60 days to leave feedback (whether buyer or seller). Since feedback tends to be left in smaller and smaller percentages nowadays, we wanted to leave as broad a window as possible for members to rate their transaction."

________________________________________________________________

As far as i know

1 : seller can face penalty for leaving negative or neutral feedback no matter buyer is good or bad or scammer this is so far i have information please correct me if i am wrong.

secondly broader window for feedback is good option for international selling but not good for local sellers, as when scammers know that they can contact seller after return time frame and can get advantage in term of replacement or refund by using feedback against seller ,which is abusing of return policy , will it protect seller from such feedback?

i will appreciate your reply on this .

Ya know, you are correct there is no mechanism to reply back once they close it. I would like a mechanism in place that once that Chat closes at 5pm my Eastern time, and I want to reply back if I disagree/need more help, there is no mechanism to do that...like I wanted to let the Blues know from maybe 2 weeks ago on a chat that they finally after 3 months removed the free 50 bogus listings from my Store and now my account is clear. Which be a feather somehow in ebay's cap lolol something got fixed. There must be a better way to reply back after the fact without starting a new thread or waiting another week to join another Chat and repeating yourself. JMO.

Sellers have been forbidden from leaving any feedback except positive for buyers since at least 2008, and that information is contained in the Seller Information Center, which sellers are required to read before beginning their selling career.

Feedback has no impact on whether or not a seller or buyer can open a case.  In fact, FB is not required at all.  That's also in the Seller Information Center, I believe.

well you are right, seller is forbidden to leave negative feedback i just change my setting and checked it usually i have automated setting, so i got wrong info from previous cs , but why seller is forbidden from this, if buyer is bad and there is message communication and evidence then sellers must be allow to leave negative feedback on bad buyers its should be fair game so other sellers can be aware of bad buyers.
feedback has visible impact if it has no impact then why sellers are forbidden to leave negative feedback to bad buyer??? , feedback give image to buyer about seller if there are so many bad reviews on bad seller. same way people can see bad reviews about sellers , same way it should be with bad buyers , its not necessary bad buyers use only new account, some of bad buyers are potential buyers and they trick seller every after 8 to 10 transactions.

Too many sellers abused negative feedback for buyers.
Many would neg a buyer who had a legit issue, just to retaliate against the buyer.

There isn't another website that I know of that allows sellers to bash their buyers. On your company website, do you have a place to review buyers? No? Why? Perhaps because it's totally unprofessional to do so?

If you have an issue with a buyer, use the report button, you don't need to take revenge and slam the buyer with bad feedback.

Most sellers don't get a chance to look at buyer feedback till AFTER the purchase has been made, so it wouldn't serve any purpose other than making the seller feel better.

Hi @uniwarehousewares - my responses below:

1. Yes, leaving a negative review on a positive rating for a buyer is a violation of our feedback policies. The feedback forum is not the place to report a member, as it's not something we review, nor do we penalize members for receiving (or not receiving) feedback. Reporting the member to us allows us to track violations, and gives us insight into member behavior and to take appropriate action on those who repeatedly violate them.

2. If you are extorted in a transaction you should contact customer support so they can review the situation for you.

It is not fair game and should never be. With your reasoning that is why Ebay removed negative feedback for buyers. You are a seller and that is all that matters with feedback. Buyers should not even be graded at all and there should be no buyer feedback. Feedback is for "potential" buyers to decide if they want to purchase from a seller. It is the only reason for feedback.

Thank you for your feedback, i am not taking any revenge from any buyer, there are good buyers and also alot of scammers increasing and because of those scammers, every day sellers are ripping off, the question is if some buyer do something wrong and scam the seller then reporting is not enough, there must be appropriate action, which ebay say that after reporting ebay takes some action but who knows that action has been taken or not? i been scammed three times and i reported those buyers and still those buyers accounts are active and they are buying even the i provided solid evidence that how i been scammed. its not about buyer, its about bad buyer and scammers, i have no complaint about good buyers, we need buyers to do business, but every day bad buyers are screwing us by taking advantage of loop holes.

Ah, but now it is alright for any buyers to be able to abuse and coerce sellers with feedback.

Buyers are allowed an opinion but sellers don't rate.  Gotta keep those buyers coming back - all of them, the good and the bad, the ugly and the money (I mean 'pretty').

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

Because bad sellers used it as retaliation for fair negatives they received- frankly, buyers were traumatized. Feedback was a big deal back then.

Plus there were no protections for either side. Ebay’s glory days were also a bit Wild West.

Honestly, it doesn’t bother me. I’ve owned a brick and mortar, managed another, and run 2 home businesses.

Where on earth in real life do businesses publicly rate customers?

Its absurd. But you can refuse service to a jerk both IRL and on EBay.

Again, you're wanting visible revenge, rather than being professional and moving on.

Maybe those buyers lost buyer protection, or have other restrictions on their account.

It's the same as leaving a Yelp or TripAdvisor review. It's the customers opinion.

And just like on TA or Yelp, the merchant has the chance to leave a professional reply.

B&M places don't go around and trash bad customers. Do you know why? Its unprofessional, and would cost them good customers.

In all honesty I wonder how some sellers have stayed in business so long with the utterly bad and unprofessional attitudes they display here.

no offense, but you used word "Maybe" this word is enigma, its not ensure protection for sellers, if protection of buyer is visible then why not for sellers, i am waiting for seller protections coming in this summer, and i wish ebay bring something good and clear for sellers ,so sellers know how they are protected in case of being scammed by scammer with evidence.

i have problem with bad buyers and scammers not with buyers or good buyers, customer has right to leave his opinion in negative or whatever i agree with you on this  but same time scammers should be stop to scam the sellers, scammers are dark spot on name of buyers. and if there is evidence that scammer is scamming then policy should be clear for scammers and should notify sellers what happened to that scammer, scammer is bad for ebay for seller and for good buyers.
