I have been recently trying to sell my fat PS3 on Ebay but for some weird reason, they keep removing it and give this as the excuse:
We don't allow the sale of game items that have been internally modded or listings that encouraging this kind of modding. This modding bypasses copyright protection, so we don't allow these items or this language on this site.
What are they talking about? I even relisted it and specifically pointed out its not modded on the second try. Does anyone know how to fix this with Ebay?
Its been going on a week since I called Ebay and told them about this and they never got back to me and you can see other people aren't having this problem sine others are selling the same system and now on the second listing the pulled the same thing again and gave me a 3 day suspension. I just find it amazing who ever takes care these things can't get accessed on the phone AND seems to not even bother to get back to people.

Your options at this point are: (1) give up trying to sell tat item on eBay; or (2) risk being permanently banned from selling on eBay. There is no third option related to negotiation, education, or persuasion.

Once you have listed something - most anything - and it has been taken down, no matter what CS says, it is not unusual for the 'bots to remove it on subsequent relistings. And, if it is taken down enough times, you could lose you privilege of listing on ebay.

The 'bots are busy - no people involved - and can't come to the phone.

Already gave up and put it on Amazon. The problem is it had a better chance of selling here. Wish there was another place I could sell that was similar to EBay.

'They' are software programs, not people. They have no manners or respect for anyone, and as suggested can't come to the phone.

"It most likely wasn't the Model # per se but the word Model has the word MOD in it........no-one ever said the bots were smart."
--------
OP said on the second listing, they said it was not Modded.
I'll wager the bots did see the word Modded, and found 'proof' it was supposedly modded.
Right?

Actually it turns out the bots don't like that model number AT ALL and will take down ANY listing of the system. Apparently you have to call Ebay, wait way over a week and get the blessing of the copyright department AND give them a picture proving the system has EXACTLY 4 USB PORTS. Also if you accidentally relist again like I did, they won't even bother giving you the blessing and permaban the listing of the item as well as suspend your account for a couple of days. As I said previously, I gave up listing it here and put it Amazon.

That seems a bit bizarre. Can you get them to email the policy they are worried about?
