I have sold the same thing for the same price with the same listing for years.  Suddenly and for the past month I can no longer use Ebay to generate a label, I get the message, "Something went wrong and we were not able to generate the label."

So, I print from paypal instead and the dimensions, options, weight are the same as what I attempted in Ebay, so I don't get it.  I am thinking *maybe* they can't identify who I am for some reason there is a flag that prevents the API call from ebay to paypal or the USPS to make the transaction.  I am using Firefox.  Hope this info helps someone.

Same problem here - works fine printing from mobile but not on my desktop using Chrome or FIrefox. Come on eBay..

I created a new seller's account in September and have sold 30+ items through it. I've not once successfully printed a label through eBay. I get this error every time. I call eBay everyday or so and they assure they are working on it. They've been working on it since September so I'm doubtful they'll ever get it fixed. I suspect they don't really care. I've followed all the instructions and workarounds here but nothing works other than going into PayPal and shipping there. 

If you get this error, I suggest you call eBay seller support and demand that they compensate you for this error. I did so and got a refund on fees. If enough did this, they'd find a solution for it really fast.

I had the same issue yesterday, when I contacted eBay support. They told me to wait 24 hours and try again, an awful solution but I figured that was their way of telling me the system was down or broken.

It still didn't work this morning and when I looked into it the package dimensions wasn't meeting the required dimensions of that package type. 

For example, I had a 24 x 5 x 5 package but the limit on length for a first class package is 22 in, I'm assuming it doesn't care about combined length as other packages do. Once I changed the package type the label went through. That error tells you nothing, it would've been better to simply tell me that the package dimensions didn't meet the criteria.

All of their support is down, they're having huge problems and there isn't anyone there to keep applying band-aids. This should've been addressed a long time ago, we've been saying it since long before Covid but nobody ever listens so I guess all those coding errors finally started to catch up with them.

For years we've tried to tell them, the problem isn't the error page. You need to fix what is causing the error, not create pretty error landing pages so the visitor doesn't think it's so bad... It's bad, but fix the cause not the symptom, nobody ever listens or in this case nobody knew what to fix or how to fix it so they created pretty error landing pages, what a mess.

I was shipping to Guam from the US. Shipping via USPS Priority Mail. 

The only way I could get this to work is by unchecking "Require Signature at Delivery"

Having the same issue.  I'm using UPS.  For me, I think it was my UPS account was locked.  I think Ebay has a link my UPS account somewhere, maybe indirectly through PayPal.  Had to print the label through paypal but first, PP prompted me to create a NEW UPS account in the PayPal shipping system.

I chose to offer ebay international standard delivery so Canadian buyers don't have to go through GSP. I have a buyer who purchased 8 lots of magazines from me. They weigh approx 60lbs, so the shipping cost would be $155 (up to 66lbs). The box I'm using is 14x15x18. They paid and when I go to purchase the label, I keep getting this error! I did not change anything and just checked off the agreement.

My first international shipment without GSP is a disappointment.
