Did you mean:

Someone who is like real smart bought something from me

I didn't catch it but my very stable genius shipping department did:  Address is a room number at a Holiday Inn Express.

No, I don't.  I turned it off three years ago and haven't watched it since.  At all.

Pretty sure the Holiday Inn Express commercials were running three years ago.

Whenever the COPS crew (yes the TV show) comes to town to film, they stay at the courtyard by Marriott. Usually for 6-8 weeks so yeah not unusual.....could be someone on assignment for work.

I remember doing a stint like that at a Courtyard by Marriott for a Support project we had once. It was a very nice place to be, I even had a fireplace that I could burn Duraflame logs in if I wanted to, but the one thing that drove me nuts every time I checked in for another week on-site was that in a misguided effort to make the place seem home-y, they'd set up place settings for two at the bar/counter by the kitchenette.

It was supposed to make the place feel cozy and lived-in, I guess, but all this said to me was, "HA-HA! YOU'RE TRAVELING ALONE, ALL BY YOURSELF, AND YOU'RE NOT GOING TO SEE YOUR WIFE AGAIN UNTIL FRIDAY!" Okay, some folks would see that as a benefit Smiley Wink, but I still think it was a little presumptuous of them...

This just occurred to me: Next time someone complains about slow sales right now, bring up the new Jack in the Box commercial.

Well, you spent all your money on holiday gifts, and bitcoin is tanking....

What's wrong with that?  Some of those offer long term stays for business people.

I dunno how nice the Holiday Inn Express would be, long-term, but our company has had Support guys staying for weeks at Courtyard Inn by Marriott and similar places; it's not an unusual practice. People get mail delivered there like anywhere else, so if that's the address you received with the payment, then that's where it goes.

Come to think of it, if it's in a storm-ravaged community, they may be living in a place like that for the foreseeable future...

I don't care where I stay when I have to go to my office. I used to stay at the extended stay, but it's a pain to be on the 3rd floor. I want a dive where I can just drive up to the door and unload.

All I'm doing is waching TV, sleeping, and showering there for the maybe 8 hours each day I'd be in the room. As long as it's clean, why pay a hundred or two hundred bucks a night to stay at a 'name brand' hotel?

I loved the best western where I stayed for years, then they changed to all no smoking, so they lost my business.

Many years ago, I had lived in a Crown Plaza for 2 weeks a month, always in the same room. Then I had the company buy me a house to live in for that time.

Okay, I just 'got it' . . . there is no stable genius or 'like real smart' that I watch on TV . . . the mere mention of his name will get me to either change the channel or throw the TV out the window 😉

Sometimes it takes me a while to get it  . . . I am far too intelligent to 'get it' off the bat 😉

What really ticks me off is a commercial I saw while watching the wild card games yesterday.   The State Farm one with the awesome dog and the wrecked truck and some ... football player ...   Can't bring myself to type his name but I love the commercial which is why it ticks me off.  Why him?  Why not:

# 4 Forever

And I would like to touch sell something to Mr. Favre who is, like, real smart, which puts me back on topic.

Or maybe he did, and this is just an attempt to be extremely witty and fun in keeping with the thread theme.

Or not.

I would never have thought that a person staying at a Holiday Inn express equates to a very smart person but maybe the total value of that franchise is remarkable that you would be very smart to stay there?

Good Luck Selling!

Seriously?  Do you ever watch tv ?   Read about anyone coughfamouscough using "like real smart" and "stable genius" lately ?

I'm clueless to this and glad I'm not alone. We don't have cable or an antenna. We just stream tv shows so we rarely see commercials anymore.

Because of the item.  Could be anyone, I guess.  Never said I am like, real smart.

I'm guessing you didn't stay in a holiday inn express last night  Smiley LOL
