I just received a very odd message:
"Hi! I bought this doll and paid for her. A shipping label was created and she was due to be delivered today. She is still listed. Please advise as to the shipping. She is still in other carts. Thank you."
The doll mentioned was not purchased. I have not received a payment nor created a label.
I'm confused.

Never mind. I just got a message that she did indeed purchase a different doll (but just like mine) from a different seller. Whew!

Could have been worse. I once has an INR case filed by a confused buyer. They too discovered it and closed the case.

A suggestion would be to ask the customer for the item number in these types of situations. Then you could look it up by item number and let the customer know which seller they actually bought it from.

First, block them so they cannot purchase from you and make things worse.
Second, get a hold of ebay and explain the situation, and have them contact the confused buyer (at best) or scammer (at worst) and have them explain to them they are contscting a seller they never purcuased an item from. They will do this for you.

They opened a case for an item they purchased from me and was delivered in place of the correct seller. The fact it was already delivered did not prevent it. However it was almost 10 years ago. That might be blocked today.

An item showing delivered does not block a buyer from opening a case, but it does make it very easy to win.

Sounds like they got you mixed up with another seller. I'd just tell them you have no record of this purchase or any label being created and to please verify the seller they need to speak with.
If they didn't buy anything from you, then there's nothing to worry about, they are just confused. It's not like they can leave you negative feedback for a non-purchase, plus if they get irate and annoying you can always BBL to stop hearing from them.
