Some buyers are disgusting

I’ve been having issues with terrible people aka some buyers.  I have bunch of children’s masks I’m trying to get rid of. So Every time someone buys a mask like if they get one mask I will send them 3 extra for price of one as a surprise gift. Or they will order 6 I will double their order. So recently some customers take advantage of it and think I sent them by mistake so what they do is ask for returns and try to send 1 mask back and keep 3 or so. It’s usually people who just buy 1 and get 3-4 free masks and still try to get money back without shame. You can’t even be nice to some people, they just try to rob you when you’re nice to them. Has anyone dealt with horrible, ungrateful people like this?

'No good deed goes unpunished'   stop being nice if it's costing you, this is Ebay...

Re: Some buyers are disgusting

oh yeah,,, haven't you heard, "No good deed goes unpunished?"

I used fo advertise shipping is exact, anything over exact shipping will be refunded. And then I got cussed out by a buyer who said I didn't ask  for a refund, why did you cancel, and they accused me of cancelling and not refunding them in full.   Of course I did not cancel and their item was on the way but they were wiggin out.  The older I get the more stupid people are. Or the drugs have made them paranoid or fried their brains.

Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be nice.

Re: Some buyers are disgusting

Ok, you sent them as free gifts, so technically they did not rob you.

If the buyer chooses to do a return, ethically they should send the freebies back too.  But they cannot be held accountable if they keep them.

As a rule, it is not a good idea to include anything in the package except what was ordered. This is business, not personal. Save your generous gifts for friends and family.

Re: Some buyers are disgusting

I would rank that as 'petty', not 'disgusting'.

'Disgusting' would be to order 100 masks and then return an empty box.

Re: Some buyers are disgusting

I bought me a roll of "Free Gift" sticker right here on ebay for a couple of bucks.  If i decide to include something extra for my customers, which i do a lot, i slap a "Free Gift" sticker on it. Now the customer knows it's a free gift and not a mistake.

Good luck and stay safe!

Re: Some buyers are disgusting

If you're going to sell one and include three, just list them as four for the same price.
