Some People Work Directly OR Indirectly With Ebay are Big Minus to Ebay

There are some people who work with this platform that are quite unethical. and unprofessional. Just because I want a better eBay, they misconstrue the values of my observations and my renderings on this forum. In this Social Media age, where many organizations are consolidating on their reliable customers and fighting for new customers, some unethical people on this platform undermine the efforts of sellers on this platform, they have forgotten that sellers bring food to the table for eBay.  No matter how small you think a seller is on this platform, that seller bring food to the table for eBay. It is a clear lack of appreciation when you start fiddling with my account/ reviews because I called you out. If I don't sell, I will call you out because I know how much effort I put into what I do on this platform. If you tax me too much, I will call you out. We are all supposed to be making money here, if money is good for eBay, money is good for me too. eBay declares Billions of Dollars every year, but you are not ashamed that a fulltime seller on your platform had never declared up to minimum wage from sales here since several years he started to sell on eBay. Before you undermine my efforts on this platform, remember I pay $60 subscription every month; if you multiply $60 by about 5million similar subscribed sellers, that is about $300M Subscription we collectively pay you every month.

All internet forums and platforms are compromised at this point. Very little organic activity to be found anywhere. Deception is everywhere.

Prove that this is happening in the Ebay Community please.

Prove that it doesn't.

I'm not the one that made the statement, you did.  So are you just slinging mud to see what will stick, or do you have proof?  Honestly, we have more than enough to deal with, why pile on with stuff that is likely untrue just so you can say something against Ebay because you are upset with them for one reason or another?

It doesn't have to be this way.  The Community is a great way to connect with other members.  Sometimes we can help each other which can be so useful to so many.  Why throw shade on something that actually helps so many?  It makes no sense, especially since you have no proof.

It seems like you are upset that someone doesn't believe forum traffic is organic. Why is that? Did it hit too close to home? Do you expect such users to openly announce their job? Remember when paypal was still at thing to get paid with on ebay? Remember the forums back then? No? Let me refresh your memory. We had these seemingly highly educated individuals that "had no affiliation with paypal" that just happened to "inform" users on this board about their policies all the time. It was painfully obvious and the same thing goes on everywhere money is involved. I know this as a long time forum administrator.

Sure, it would be comfortable to believe in this world where everything is transparent and open, everybody is honest about their intentions and humble, but such a world does not exist.

I keep seeing this suggestion over & over & over again.  Selling what is in demand.  How many people have to be interested in something before it is considered "in demand" ???  10?  50?  800?  What if you are the only one with a particular item on eBay & 7 people really want it?  Now it's in demand because it sells immediately?   lol   Anyone who uses those 2 words just need to give it a rest.  🙂

How does security risk come into this discussion? eBay cannot ruin any seller?  eBay does not have such powers. eBay can stop a seller from selling on eBay if Ebay is not benefitting from the relationship. But no good business entity will want to lose a reliable customer. An employee mindset is different from owner mentality when it comes to business transactions. eBay is one of the front runners in online selling but there are many other online selling platforms.

Ebay shuts down sellers all the time because they present a security risk to the site.  Ebay has the ultimate power to shut down any member whether buyer or seller if Ebay deems it necessary.  It is Ebay's site, Ebay's rules.  If a seller or buyer presents a security risk to the site, Ebay will normally try to rehabilitate the member first with some simple sanctions.  But if that doesn't work and that member still presents a risk to the site, Ebay will most certainly shut them down.  That is good business.

Absolutely there is competition out there for Ebay.  I don't know that anyone here said there wasn't.  I know I never said that.

If eBay "retaliated" against someone bringing up something negative about the site, I, and many others on here would have been banned multiple times over.

If you bring up an issue in a professional way, either here or with customer service, you usually get a valid and well thought out response, sometimes even here from eBay themselves.  If you call CS or post on the forum making outlandish and impossible claims, people will likely gloss over.

With respect to the feedback on your account,

Instead of making the assumption and claiming that out of all the transactions that happen on a daily business on this platform (and there are billions), eBay somehow took the time to put a fake neutral review on your specific transaction, that has absolutely no bearing on your account from a seller perspective, perhaps you could learn from that feedback and look at how you could prevent the same from happening again.
