So I sold a graphics card last week and today it says it was signed for and delivered (package weighing 4lbs 8oz) Then I get a refund request from the buyer with a photo of an empty cardboard box.
The item was scanned in multiple times with 4lbs weight and USPS even adjusted the weigh along the way and charged me extra shipping (weighed 8oz over the original label).
it seems eBay will immediately freeze the payment and usually favors the buyer. I uploaded the USPS proof of delivery and I’ve opened a USPS claim and filed an IC3 report is there anything else I can do against potential buyer fraud?

Old thread.

Yes, but unfortunately still applicable. Graphics card + eBay + phony empty box claim still equals a refund at the seller's expense..unless, of course, they shipped it to a freight forwarder and the buyer is in the Russian Federation...at least THEN you have a small chance if you DON'T use eBay customer service for redress.

Yeah welcome to Ebay where scams are all over this site. You can forget Ebay helping you out only thing you can do at this point is cut your loss, hope insurance covers the item, report fraud to the police, sue the buyer and have your day in small claims court. Your out 1500 big ones and your video card.

I just had a guy ask for a return because the video was used as the listing stated and was not brand new that's what he said. The video card had very little dust on the cooler its self. Ebay froze my money fast. I sure I just lost my video card and money and $48 shipping plus high Ebay fee's.
