Hi,
I sold my personal (3 year old) Apple Series 2 watch recently. I sold it because I never wore it, not because it had issues. The buyer contacted me today that the watch is broken, the face has come off and wants to know why, did I ever have issues, if there is a warranty, etc. Just trying to understand my rights in case this gets into a she said, she said. I would never try to pull something over on anyone. I have a good selling reputation and it's important to me. Thanks.....Joanna

Buyers have the (MBG) money back guarantee for 30 days past the delivery date. After that you are covered here at eBay.
If the buyer opens a (MBG) not as described case you will be required to accept the return request and also pay return shipping. Once you get the item back and if it is not the same item (serial number) or in the same condition you sent it in, you can report the return to eBay which has told us they will review the return report and take action if they need to.
If a request does get opened I would make sure you do all your communications with the buyer inside the request details page so there is a paper trail to follow.
If you do not want to accept the return it will eventually get escalated which allows eBay to make a decision on behalf of both parties.
Good Luck Selling!

My Rights
According to the eBay user agreement, you have the right to let eBay do whatever they want:
"You agree to comply with the policy and permit us to make a final decision on any eBay Money Back Guarantee case."

"We may ... we may" is the same thing as "We may not ... we may not"

Actually, any warranty that you may have had would probably not transfer to your buyer.
If it has been past 30 days the MBG would not apply. If not, you are required to pay the return shipping if you want the item returned.
Even though the MBG time period may have lapsed, the buyer may still be able to file a dispute with PayPal.

Or their credit card company.
