Why on earth do I have to keep telling you, ebay, that I DO NOT WANT you to impose your garbage "improvements" on me prior to my approving them? What do you not UNDERSTAND there? You are running AI 24/7 and don't grasp it yourself, so where is the disconnect in your Tech DPT?
- No, I don't sell internationally and stated so. You are overrunning me to recheck myself constantly. Why? I already told you, NO!!!
- I told you I don't want the new messaging... what do you do? You push your new messaging carp interface on me, despite my decline. **bleep**?
Please stop, ebay. Just STOP! I will start charging you for interference! How rude and constantly interfering. What a nuisance you are these days!!!

Oh... and of course I have to include the "Don't complain to eBay about Anything" community to respect their derangement about anything, but seriously? Who has the time anymore.
Please, just leave me alone with your constant improvements and opt me OUT. I mean it and told you so ages ago. Just stop your **bleep**, ebay!

Ebay keeps violating my preferences set prior. Overrides it. How do I handle?

It sounds frustrating that eBay is overriding your preferences despite you setting them up. There are a few steps you can take to handle this situation:
1. Check Your Settings
• Double-check your preferences: Go through your account settings again to ensure that everything is configured properly. Sometimes, preferences might not be saved if the page doesn’t load correctly, or a session times out.
• Update your preferences: If necessary, reconfigure your preferences from scratch. Make sure to save them after making any changes.
2. Clear Cache & Cookies
• Browser issue: Sometimes, a web browser might store outdated settings or cache, causing your preferences to revert. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies, then log in again to eBay and set your preferences.
• Try a different browser: If the issue persists, you might want to try using a different web browser or switch to eBay's mobile app to see if the issue is specific to the browser you're using.
3. Use eBay's Contact Support
• Contact eBay support directly if the issue continues. Let them know that your preferences are being overridden. Provide them with specific examples of what is changing and when.
• Use live chat or phone support for faster resolution, as eBay agents might be able to troubleshoot or escalate your case if necessary.
4. Review Any Active eBay Promotions or Updates
• Sometimes, eBay introduces changes or promotions that temporarily reset or override certain settings (like automatic item preferences, or search filters). Check if there are any active updates that might be affecting your settings.
• If there’s a current issue on eBay's end, they may be able to provide a fix or update timeline.
5. Use eBay's "Saved Searches"
• If your preferences are related to search filters (like items by specific sellers or categories), you could create Saved Searches so that you can quickly reapply your preferred settings without needing to adjust them every time.
6. Check Third-party Tools
• If you're using any third-party apps or browser extensions to help with your eBay shopping (e.g., price tracking, deal finders), make sure they’re not interfering with your settings. Sometimes these tools can overwrite your preferences unintentionally.
7. Report the Issue
• If you feel that eBay is not honoring your preferences intentionally (or there's some bug or glitch causing the problem), you can submit a formal complaint through eBay’s customer service portal.
8. Follow Up Regularly
• If the issue persists despite contacting eBay support, follow up with them to ensure that it's being escalated. Sometimes these things take time to resolve.
Let me know if you need more specific advice depending on what preferences are being overridden!

Just the beginning... ebay.
And those of you thinking that you have "posting ID"s of significance to protect yourselves, how funny 🙂 Posting IDs mean NOTHING in the age of AI!
11-06-2024 12:11 AM
Your posting ("anonymous") IDs here on ebay can in essence be matched by how you tick/post/write/mentally express by AI any time of day or night. It's irrelevant what your mind thinks while you type away. It cannot protect itself in any form of anonymity. Or, how you stupidly think a posting ID protects you from being disengaged from your seller ID. Think again!
That sphere no longer exists! AI can match your posting ID to your selling ID by the way you type and think.
FULL STOP

Thanks for posting have a good day.

If you're being automatically opted in to selling internationally just go to your account settings, click shipping preferences then select opt out ...simple solution.
For any other changes or "improvements" eBay does to their website we just have to get used to it.
Because after all this IS eBay's playground they decided how their website will look what their rules are etc.... learn to deal with it or leave....simple solution
By the way....eBay isn't here and won't see or respond to your posts.

Tbh the most frustrating (and annoying) thing is the way ebay gives us the option to "customize" and then when it suits them they just override our choices and we're stuck with their defaults (again) over and over.
11-06-2024 04:50 AM
I will start charging you for interference!
How much will you charge them, and how will you accomplish it? Will you offer them a way to opt out?
11-06-2024 06:18 AM
Entirely unhelpful nonsense there. Please don't use that tool for purposes like this, it's often wrong.
@baviebeeyes, eBay has a habit of forcing changes on us, but you'll be happier and more successful if you accept that they're going to do it and just work around it when you can than to get so upset. I don't like some of those changes either, but ranting about it here won't change anything. You can submit feedback to eBay in many cases, and I strongly suggest everyone upset by any change do so, but try to adjust as well, because the chances of them rolling back changes are fairly low (though it has happened in the past).

Thanks. English is my second language and what I say often gets misinterpreted in here among those who only speak only one language/English to begin with. It doesn't bother me that much anymore, to be honest.
Buy my stuff listed in here in all all honesty listed as such or don't.
Thanks to "brightlightbookseller" for taking the time to input, but you sell in your niche. You have a 13+K rating... winky on credibility! And being giving you love for whatever Ebay spurs your way regarding LOVE! GET REAL!
You think I am stupid, brightlight*bookseller... greetings from Germany... get a grip!
So annoying! Your Rockstar input is not appreciated on my end.

Ebay posts and publishes what it wants to. I have no time to re-edit my posts to make them visible. It's a garbage kindergarten environment. Clown America.

Glad I did not waste any time reading message 3.
Thanks for stopping by.

And... for just one sec, any of you believe you are "anonymous" in a remote form, please think again!

You are not. You are clowns to your ignorance 🙂
