So tired of time wasters

Message from potential buyer 3 days ago asking for additional photos from every possible angle of a jean currently for sale, photos taken, uploaded, resized and sent, 2nd message same day, am i firm on the price ? a $69.50 jean at $24.99 yes i'm firm on the price.

Since then nothing, if you want to negotiate on price say so straight away, you would of got the same answer, don't ask for all these additional photos if price is a sticking point for you, absolute waste of my time. Christ how much of a bargain do they want ?

Just ask all and any questions at the same time, would save me the trouble of sending you something you are not happy at the price they are !

The buyers who ask a million questions are the broke ones who can't afford to buy, so they run their mouths wasting sellers time. The ones who have a pocket full of money just buy and never complain. ebay should do its sellers a favor and get rid of all the trailer trash buyers who return everything and ask a million questions and never buy.

Interesting, but many times, not always true.

Why would I negotiate on the price of something that I am unsure I even want because of fit.

Here's a question to sellers: what would you rather?

1. a buyer asks for more information, then decides you don't have what they want.

2. a buyer returns an item as SNAD because it wasn't what they wanted?

I just wish wish WISH that all sellers would put measurements in a listing! I mean for China, porcelain, I get so freaking tired of having to write to ask "how tall is this? How wide...?" no, you can't tell by the pic, a cup can be 2" tall and another 7" tall in the pics, and there is no way to tell without sometime to show size in the pic or to list a simple measurement! I collect cups, they're my pretties....(preciousssss...) and size is the most important! I don't want a 3oz cup! I don't want a 24oz cup!

So many I just pass by as I can't tell the size and I'm so tired of having to ask. If you're selling a small type time, put a freaking tape measure in the pic! Please!!!

That is incorrect. I get questions from buyers all the freakn time asking a question where the answer is right in the listing if they bothered to read it. Matter of fact, had two today so far. I copy and past what it says in the listing and send it them 🙂

One was nice enough to respond with thank you.

The other - no so much.

All the freakn time....lol

The single question prospective buyers are normally not an issue and can turn into a real buyer pretty quick. Sold a number of items this month after the prospect got their questions answered. You're right about that as well, the prospective buyer should have asked about price before they went into asking for additional photographs given the time to pull out, photo, put back, & upload - that is a time killer for sure.

The multi question buyers I have found tend to be a problem. The more questions they ask, the bigger the problem they usually end up being. I tend to just quietly block them when they pass my "this buyer is going to be a real hassle" line .

Cheers

I hear you, I started shooting all my small items next to a ruler and a penny.

Sadly, I still have people asking me, "How big is this?"

Same here. Just had a lady write me about the size of a decorative egg. I thought that was odd, I always put sizes. I did. Twice. I wrote her back and told her the size. Never heard from her again.

Apparently, it is easier for some people to message a seller with a question rather than opening up and reading a listing? Is this the case for most of you, and if so, why would they take the time to draft a message instead of reading the listing?

Many also do not realize that some things were made for a very long time and the sizes changed as molds wore out and were replaced.

An 8" salad plate can be anywhere between 7 3/4" and 8 1/4" Wine glasses can be 1/4" taller than the others. If I have a set of 7 3/4" salad plates you can bet I don't want the 8 1/4" ones, but they put "8"" in the description and I expect 8"......... not 8 1/4" or 8 1/16"......

Dealing with the public is an important part of the retail process. Successful sellers are adept at handling both difficult and easy shoppers, knowing that every contact is an opportunity to clinch the sale. Resenting those who show interest in one’s items can defeat the purpose of being here.

Some People can't read. Some people won't read. Some people don't want to read. Some people can't absorb what they did read. Some people can't remember what they read 30 seconds ago,

Ever have to repeat your order at the drive up because the person your talking to can't remember what you told him or her 30 seconds ago?

That said, On this subject. 9 out of 10 questions I get asked are already answered in the listing.

The other 10% are usually asking if I have something they need or are looking for a discount.

I try to be polite and non judgmental but sometimes it's soooo hard.

Totally agree, not a problem with legitimate questions, what really irks me is they obviously wanted a better price than the $44.51 discount they are already on sale for, and they could have told me this before the task of the multiple additional photos they asked for, it does take a lot of time to do this.
