So tired of the constant "instant" cancellation requests.

If you're not sure you want it then put it in the cart.

As we all know these "requests" are really demands, because not cancelling only leads to more issues down the road.

It would be nice if ebay at least made the buyer think up a "reason", but they don't even have to expend that little brain power anymore.

If ebay wants buyers to be able to have a 'better buyer experience' and be able to cancel immediately after payment then the least they could do is cough up the .30 PP transaction fee to the seller.

Just TRY paying for an order on another website and then attempting to get them to cancel. Only here is it as easy as push another button.

I think that many buyers who see something that is a really good deal or too good to be true, they just buy it as a way to 'save it' so nobody else can buy it before them. They think it's like adding it to their cart except nobody else can get it before them.

Then they read the description and read the tiny fine print and see it actually isn't what they first thought it was...I've clearly put in my listings that an item is a replica of another rare item and people still buy and ask for the order to be canceled.

Most non 3P seller websites don't allow for cancellations after payment. You bought it, it's a done deal.

With managed payments eBay will have more flexibility to credit any payment processing fees when a buyer cancels. Whether they'll do it or not is another matter.

Please. They won't even auto credit refunds for shipping overages.

and if they fixed the dang cart it wouldn`t be an issue but that extra revenue is exactly why they don`t fix the dang cart. They also don`t credit re listing fees......I realize the cost is minimal and sometimes free but even if it`s free it goes against an allotment that you may exceed due to not being credited for the loss.

Agree 100% with your comments. The immediate request to cancel orders within lightning speed of purchase is on the rise. Just had yet another one Thursday night. the 30 cent pay-pal fees add up over a year and should be credited back OR we should be allowed to with hold the 30 cents from the refund!

Exactly. If "it's only .30 cents" then let the buyer pay it. Or ebay.

Yes, many do their buyer's due diligence backwards~after they buy, instead of before they buy.

Uh, I have always thought that "replica" items were not allowed to be sold on eBay.

Is the rule different in the Coin category?

Sorry, I should have phrased that better.

One of them I had was a one ounce bullion coin with the same design and date as a 1916-D mercury dime. This dime is valued at $500ish-$1000 average depending on condition. This was a 1 oz silver round though...not quite a replica/counterfeit. It is a perfectly legal item and not a counterfeit. These are also allowed to be sold on eBay. It was only valuable for it's silver content and because it had design of the rare, famous dime.

I had someone buy it and then ask for it to be canceled because they didn't realize it was a bullion round and thought they were getting the rare dime, even though a clearly said it was a 1 oz silver round.

Here is an example that looks just like it:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/232325788858

However, if it was the size of a dime and was made to look just like a dime, that would not be allowed. It would also be illegal to try to pass it off as the real thing.

any TITLE with "Replica" in it will get an item pulled just for the word "REPLICA".  just because something is a replica does NOT mean that it is a banned item or in any kind of policy violation. It depends on what the item is. it is perfectly ok to use the word in a description. I had a "replica" derringer cigarette lighter for sale that had "REPLICA" in the title listed in the vintage lighters category and it got PULLED because of the word REPLICA, it was a perfectly legal item to sell listed in the correct category, I had to relist it and remove the word REPLICA from the title and all was good.
