Sneaker authentication is *still* flawed

I had some perfectly good air jordans and i matched the model number and everything they sold for over $500 and ebay sent them back from the "authenticator" before they even reached the buyer saying they didn't *seem* authentic no other explanation and they are certainly authentic and now they want me to pay shipping since they refunded the buyer and cancelled a perfectly good sale i appealed and they sent a useless automated reply about how they wont change the decision with *still* no explanation

The authentication system is a scam to streamline transactions at a brutal expense to the buyers and sellers.  The fact they don't allow communication between buyers and sellers, no explanations about anything and that they automatically close every case opened should be enough proof to everyone that this is a terrible new system.

Lots of fakes out there.  Lots of dishonest vendors as well telling you they're authentic, but in turn are not.  The fact that you're are a new seller and start out selling a high priced item will raise red flags with ebay as well.  Too many new sellers come here to make the big bucks with a questionable inventory only to have their accounts suspended permanently.  If ebay says their fake, then that's that. It's their decision and their site.  Don't relist them or you will take a risk of having your account suspended for good.

Word man! I sold some Lebron James sneakers and they were returned to me because 'The shoe condition is more worn than stated/shown within the listing'. Shoes are brand new and I purchased it at a store on a Military base. I tried them on before I purchased them, so I do not know what the heck these idiot eBay shoe authenticators are talking about. They should be checking to see if they are fake or not. I will never sell collector type shoes on eBay again!!
