It's the ECONOMY again.
People are scared to spend money they don't have!
And with the looming war with North Korea things are only going to get worse.
I've been storing water for months now, because when the grid goes down you won't be able to pump water out of the ground.

Sales are so bad that I can't buy on eBay any longer Z........
What goes around comes around, sales are slow so I can't keep buying.
Late last night I was so disgusted with eBay not being able to serve a web page I just gave up, so it is not all the buyers, if eBay can't serve a web page, that defeats the purpose of the site itself, add the terrible search engine performance on top of that issue and eBay is doomed.

Using a story method(or top down method for fancy investor types), start with short term and then look at the larger time frame. It appears to be a sector rotation. Market has been going up, but the money is going elsewhere and it's not consumer goods.

Oh boy. Just what the world needs, more "Preppers". Do you have the M-60 set up 6 feet inside your front door for tonight's Home Invasion?

Yes, but when buyers come here and eBay serves up a dud in not delivering a web page fast, then you have no hope of making a sale, eBay is so bad now days that it is even stalling users computers.
I had to use task manager to close out of sessions last night, the browser would not close on it's own.

Careful who you point fingers and call prepper. I'd say Uncle Sam has everyone beat. Retail might be sucking, but I can tell you what isn't.

I was not born in the USA, so I don't buy your paranoia, and that which your new President pedals. The USA is the 7th country I have lived in, and by far the most paranoid by a wide margin.
Your concern about others trying to kill you, is only outweighed by the thruth that they really cannot be bothered with you. 70% of the World is looking for their next meal, not a fight with the USA.

LOL, prepare for when eBay is doomed..............
We know the reality of that already, no wonder eBay sellers are building bunkers, maybe to hide from the bill collectors.......
You know in the bible it says that one day people will throw their money in the streets because it will be worthless, sort of like many sellers inventory is here on eBay now days.

I don't follow the bible because it does not have one lick of common sense in it, anywhere. I am not about to stone my neighbor because he looks at other women's bottoms.

It's NEVER the people...it's the ones running them looking to stay in power, every color, every size, every level of intellect or the lack there of.

Z: I would like to spend money I don't have - and I'm not even scared.
But folks don't let me take stuff out the door without giving them money!!! What should I do?

I'm not going to agree or disagree with you my friend :-). I have traveled many places and had many pleasant encounters. Just pointing out the obvious. That's a 5yr chart. You can't say it's one political party or the other as it covers a decent time frame, it's a lucrative business.
Household income has been stagnant or many years. The cost of goods have only gone up. Close to 0% percent interest rates for such periods. The banking system to the consumer is primarily a "One Trick Pony",......interest rates. So what do we do now? Offer negative interest rates to banks (that means you get paid to borrow money) which will lead to even lower rates to borrowers? Follow the money. Pay attention, because most people are not. When interest rates go back up, credit card fees go up, loans cost more, etc. I'm not trying to be gloomy, but reinforcing the fact that everything is cyclical even the market. Unfortunately, we have short term memory.
