I've been seeing with many listings the last few days. The descriptions all read like this example: "64 The Greatest Motown Original Hits 4 Album Set- 12" LP Vinyl Records. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail."
What is this? Is there an option to automatically have a default description? It seems like a super lazy way to list used items which vary so much and are so subjective. I won't be doing that any time soon.

I'm not seeing the same thing you apparently are when I search for the title as you posted it.

Hmm. I checked again and I'm only seeing those types of descriptions in completed listings. Is ebay changing the descriptions post sale to a generic format perhaps. Nearly all of the completed listings for that title are this way. But I've seen this for many other items I've been researching.

All of the album covers say that, although I think it reads-
The Greatest 64 Motown Original Hits 4 Album Set

I don't think you're understanding what I was asking about.

Interesting. I guess people on phones don't like typing much. Another reason I use my PC for ebay. Thanks for your response!

I've been seeing a lot of new listings like this.
If they can't do better then that, I just hit the back button.

Exactly. I completely agree. So lazy!

What else is it the you would have liked to have seen ? I just checked active and sold and they all are slightly different titles. Can you show a screenshot of what you are talking about ?

My bad. I did not look in completed listings. I only looked at active listings.

I got a message from eBay a few weeks back on this account (that doesn't sell)
It was a horrendously simplified "how to list" short video.
That wording was the exact wording that eBay used in their sample video 😞
I remember thinking ... oh no ... what bad advice.
I can't find it right now, I'll dig for it a bit later, after more coffee.
