Quick question, I had an item on auction that sold for 740.00 but with tax it came out to over 800 dollars, do I need to use Signature Confirmation?
Thanks!

For the extra amount I would, especially with porch pirates.

I would highly recommend that you do.

I don't know eBay's stance on this but for PayPal it would include any sales tax (they would look at the total payment made including taxes and shipping).
Given how close it is to the $750 I agree with all the previous posts.....get the Signature! (and let the buyer know it will be required).

You do. The threshold is $750 but also includes the additional cost of shipping. One penny over that amount automatically gets signature confirmation from me.
Better safe than sorry.

Sorry I read your OP too fast. The sales tax is not included. Only the shipping if it brings the total above $750~

...purchase additional insurance for the true value of the package ($740) at the time you create shipping label...NOTE: there are 2 parties selling this insurance, buy the one from USPS so you will automatically get a Signature Tracking Confirmation...
...this insurance will ease your worry when losing package case arises USPS will accept your claim...

If you choose to purchase insurance from USPS in the amount of $500.01 or greater then Signature Confirmation is automatically included. So there would be no need to purchase Signature Confirmation separately.
