I really think it's in eBay's best interest to waive fees for May 2022 due to algorithmic manipulation via the seller update. They admitted that the update is interfering with listing visibility, which obviously affects sales. Plus, there's widespread reports of extremely low sales. This is obviously not the service sellers expected to receive with their store subscriptions.
Lastly, and most importantly, they mentioned these listing visibility/sales glitches could last for 3 more weeks. It's already been happening for a week, so that could end up being a month for some sellers.
eBay... do the obvious and right thing by waiving store fees for this month.

Can you send a link to eBay's announcement that the update is interfering with listing visibility?
I have not seen it.

During this transition, your listing experience could be temporarily impacted, as well as the visibility of your listings.

It's hardly in eBay's best interest. It might be in our best interest, but not eBay's. LOL

Thanks for adding it to the thread!

Seems like a CAL waiting to happen.

Is there a Class Action Fan Club I don't know about?
Read your eBay agreement regarding legal action.

read that user agreement:
they do not guarantee your item will even be visible.......
So why would they compensate folks for such???

The changes started yesterday.
Lack of views or sales prior to yesterday has nothing to do with the category changes.
I've had sales- in fact, more the past 3 days than the previous week.
Why? Like every year, Mothers Day. Like clockwork- people are buying presents for Mom, setting up get togethers, BBQ's, Park picknicks etc the week leading up to MD.
The week after? They spent their wad on Mom.
Sales will be a bit better until Memorial Weekend
June, with Grads, Weddings and Fathers Day- another 'slower' month.

Changes did not happen yesterday.

It has been going on for a while now. Ebay should wave a certain amount of monies for the store you purchase off them.

Sorry, I did not realize this was the announcement that was being referred to.
I was expecting something additional admitting that the update was "botched" like the OP suggested.
It definitely sucks for people who list in the categories that are affected, but this sounds more along the lines of impacts that were anticipated and expected rather than "botched".

Ebay doesn't have in there due to screwing up there site. That there is for things out of ebays control. Ebay created this mess and therefore they are responsible.

Yes absolutely they should.

It would do something to instill some confidence that ebay knows what is going on and is competent.
...but I have the feeling nothing like that would ever cross management's minds.
Bungled rollouts & useless features are the norm.
You'll get nothing and like it.
