I have over the years sold many orders to the buyer. Never had any problems.

I notice the standard information when they place an order.

Just to let you know:  I've never had a problem with a freight forwarder or re-shipper.  In no way, shape or form am I condemning freight fowarders. I have no bone to pick with re-shippers, after all, they're not going to be taking it overseas and handing the package to your buyer.   Instead, I'm posting the facts.  Presenting facts is not negative nor is it condemnation.

If you ship to a freight forwarder/re-shipper, unless the buyer admits in writing that they've used a freight forwarder/re-shipper, Ebay's money back guarantee applies.  Redundant, I know.  But, I felt the need to reiterate the facts being that I'm the only one that has presented Ebay's policy.  A policy the Ebay Blues have posted on these forums.

Best of luck

I don't know why ShopAmerica still asks for the item # on the label as these days I've noticed the item # is part of the name line on the ship to address.

That said, yes, OP shot themselves in the foot and lost a sale for nothing.

I've never had ANY issues with these IDs.

If you use and print EBAY labels the ITEM NUMBER is also included on the label. FYI

ONLY if you actually check the box to include the item #.

Yes, it's a shame OP  lost a good sale to good buyer.  The xenophobes on these boards do a lot of that sort of damage, with posts that frighten and confuse less experienced sellers.

Me too in my selling account. I have no worries selling to them whenever I see a new purchase of theirs.

I'm assuming you don't ship international.  Stick with that.  As I stated above, in Ebay's eyes, you're shipping overseas, in regards to Ebay's money back guarantee.

Here's an easy scenario:  if the package is crushed on the way to the buyer do you believe the buyer will admit in writing that they used a freight forwarder?  Not likely.

Stick with your convictions and your business policies, no need to apoIogize for being well grounded.

You do not understand Shop Airlines, THEY are the buyer, they are NOT a traditional forwarder.

Foreign buyers go to the various Shop Airlines websites to buy stuff. Shop Airlines websites take listings from eBay, mark them up and sell them to local buyers in their local currency with the item price, shipping and their profit all rolled in to one price.

Shop Airlines is YOUR customer, you never deal with the foreign buyer.

They do not operate like a forwarder who is only an intermediary between the actual buyer and the eBay seller.

In eBay's eyes this is no different than selling to anyone who lives in California. Shop Airlines through their various eBay buying accounts are the single largest (by millions) eBay buyer.

I agree that Shop Airlines as a customer is just fine, and I have sold to them many times over many years, but just out of curiosity, where did you find that?

My posts are regarding Ebay's policy towards freight forwarders/re-shippers and it relates to Ebay's  MBG.  I have no problem with Shop Airlines.

I think that's been true for a number of years now.
