Shoe Authenticator still a problem I see?

Sad that eBay has yet to provide more authenticator hubs to speed up the process. Nothing like ordering a pair of LeBron XX’s to wear for my mens league and not have them get here in a timely manner. Probably won’t get them until after the league …

authenticator has had them now for over 10 days and nothing. Stuck in the dark and eBay rep just makes excuses. Can’t even message the seller as I’d imagine they start to get anxious as well. I’m all for authenticating sneakers but the same problems from the begging two years ago have yet to be addressed? Anyone else currently waiting in the dark in some sneakers?

Have you opened up an item not received case yet?  Keep on ebay to honor the deal.

Also, If the item arrives late you can then open up and item not as described case as ebay considers the estimated delivery date part of an accurate item description.

Not yet, I definitely want the shoes as it was a good price and I used a 10% off coupon. I will give it a day or 2 before getting on eBay about it. The system definitely needs revamped. I read threads just like this one from 2 years ago and sadly it appears as though eBay hasn’t improved on anything at all.

Re: Shoe Authenticator still a problem I see?

Update - I didn’t even have a chance to file an “item not received” claim. I was issued a refund which is fine and all but I wanted the shoes considering the price/buy + my 10% off coupon. eBay is claiming the show authenticator can’t seem to find the shoe yet the tracking shows it was dropped off and last marked “authenticator is inspecting shoes”. What kind of Mickey Mouse program is this? eBay acts as if I shouldn’t be upset because I simply get a refund. What a bout the money I had tied up for over two weeks? What about my coupon? What about the shoes I wanted?

Re: Shoe Authenticator still a problem I see?

There have been more than one seller that claimed the authenticator's stole their shoes. Is that the case here? Who knows. But it's pretty odd that they are delivered to the authenticator, and they can't "find" them.

I've seen enough complaints about ALL the authentication programs, I would never sell ANYTHING on eBay through ANY of the programs. High risk, low chance of a payoff.

Sorry this happened to you. If it were me, I would not be a returning shopper if I had to waste my time like that.

Re: Shoe Authenticator still a problem I see?

Exactly! Definitely not bothering with buying or selling sneakers on here anymore which is a bummer because I do enjoy trying to save a few bucks when I can. I can’t tell if they got lost, stolen or the seller simply shipped an empty box and took an interest free loan. There is zero transparency with this program and that’s extremely annoying. The eBay agent just acted like it’s no big deal because I got refunded…. 🙄

Re: Shoe Authenticator still a problem I see?

I highly doubt they shipped an empty box. That hurts the seller's metrics. It's an instant NAD and a demerit on your selling metrics.

But I get what you are saying.

Re: Shoe Authenticator still a problem I see?

I wonder if the card and jewelry "authenticators" are just as "good" or if we're just not hearing about the disasters.  Yet.    If the Authenticators start losing jewelry, or thieving it, it ain't gonna be pretty.
