You purchased the Thing on Friday November 27.

Today is Dec 6.

The item has been in transit For NINE WHOLE DAYS two of which were Saturdays and two of which were Sundays.

Shock! Horror!

You were given a last estimated date for delivery of December 4th.

You are entitled to open a Dispute for Item Not Received after which the seller has 96 hours to prove Delivery, which will as likely be Monday or Tuesday as not.

The cost of shipping from the USA to Canada is fairly high and is not related to the value of the purchase. Rates are based on dimensions and weight.

Here is the USPS rate card.

https://postcalc.usps.com

There is no $25USD  shipping rate, so I would guess your seller is using Flat Rate shipping and First Class International Package. But the more expensive Priority Shipping has a delivery window of 6-10 days, which would put actual delivery as Tuesday or so.

Since you bought from the USA, you should expect to be charged duty and sales tax when the carrier brings the shipment to your door.

Duty is charged on any purchase over $150Cdn (~$112USA) and sales tax on any purchase over $40Cdn (~$30USD).
If you are not home, the carrier will leave a Notice telling you where and when you can pick up your shipment. Bring photo ID.

In case you have not heard, shipping delays have been happening since March 2020. Every holiday season, all the major carriers are always overloaded and this year will probably be their most challenging to date. It does not matter where you shop as your delivery could be slower than expected.

Isn’t this a US domestic purchase?
