Hello
I have just sold an item which is fairly large and weighs 18 lbs. I want to ship it in a wardrobe box. I want to use FedEx shipping. Is this acceptable? My buyer went ahead and purchased the item based on the fact that I used a flat fee for shipping.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Everything in your plan appears to be in order.
1) If you buy the label through eBay, the tracking number will be uploaded for you.
2) If you buy the label online or at a FedEx store front, be sure to manually load the tracking number into your Items Awaiting Shipment screen.
3) For future reference, don't ever downgrade from Next or Second day to ground service.

IF eBay lets you use that option, I would probably do it. But be aware, FedEx used to be inexpensive but has SHOT UP over the last month or so. Shipping prices for large items are outrageous across the board.

Di not buy the label with eBay. Take the item to ups and pay over the counter for shipping.
With dimensional weight, your package will be closer to 40 lbs

Ups and FedEx quotes in a listing are just estimates. You will be dinged weeks later for the additional cost if you let eBay provide the label.

Your listing shows it's shipping through USPS.
Changing carrier is not a good idea, unless you ok it with the buyer.

Also, do not wait even if the shipping seems too high and will eat into your profits. Prices are not going down anytime soon and may continue upward. (I think).
