I've been selling on eBay for a long time but most of my Christmas sales were waaaay in the past when there weren't as many concerns with scammers.

I'm assuming that I will be getting requests this holiday season to send items to an address that is not the buyer's/paypal address.

How do you handle this?

If the item is sold and a request comes in to ship to another address and you can't afford to lose the item as well as the money don't do it.

Buyers can change their ship to address at checkout.

If they check out, then ask for the package to be shipped to a different address, tell the buyer that for their protection and yours their order will be canceled and they need to repurchase with the correct address at checkout. Then cancel using problem with buyer's address.

If they repurchase, fine. If not, oh well...

Ask them to agree to cancel as buyer requested.

Refund their money if they already paid.

Tell them to add this to paypal as an alternate address.

Relist the item. Then have them buy and pay for it.

Then send to the new address on their paypal account.
