Shipping date on label messages

Does anyone remember, or am I mistaken?  I realize I exist in the state of confusion these days, but this is going overboard... 🙂

I refer to the activity of when a label is created, the message to the buyer shows as 'shipped'.

Was there not (I can't find it) a chat where a Blue stated this was going to be fixed?  It is still happening; buyers are still being sent wrong information and this is disturbing to me.

I bought something last night and it showed to me almost immediately that it was shipped - not label was printed. The Post Office is not open at 1AM - so I know eBay lied to me. This is not the seller's fault.

And for a sale I made today - I selected shipping date as tomorrow (within my shipping configuration) and the message went out to my buyer that it was immediately shipped; instead of label printed and will ship tomorrow.

I thought this mess was repaired a few months ago; it never occurred to me before now to follow up on it. Apparently it has not been fixed, or I am not recalling the discussion correctly? I thought it was on a weekly chat update, but I can't find it.

If I am wrong, and this is not on the eBay-needs-to-be-fixed 'honey do-list' - it needs to be.  Since Trinton is out on sick leave this week - I'll ask this question to alan@ebay and brian@ebay and doug@ebay ... Gentlemen, am I mistaken thinking this eBay glitch was reported months ago and supposedly being promised to be repaired then, or was this [urgent] update completed and yet it is still malfunctioning (if so, I am reporting it again), or at least would you please confirm that it is [still] on the radar to be done and when it might be fixed?

It seems to me that unnecessary cosmetic fixes gets approved and launched (with untested results/bugs still in place) while things like this of major importance gets forgotten or shifted to the end of the list. Or am I imagining again?

This lack of truthful detail being displayed to buyers is at the least giving buyers yet another reason to distrust eBay and buy elsewhere - where the transaction details can be trusted.

Does anyone remember (and can post a link to that conversation) or have any updated information?

Thanks to all...

Mine shows as your order is being shipped. That came on a Sunday
It used to say your order is on its way.
Is that the change you are referring to?

Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

I made a purchase recently, and my email said:
