USPS offers Regional A & B shipping with cost based on distance from point A to B (Zone Pricing) vs weight and size. The only way to get the Regional A & B boxes is on USPS website. There are 2 sizes for each and you can only you those boxes for Regional Shipping. Until now, the only way to utilize Regional shipping was at the post office where they charged service fee to do it or subscribe to a shipping service like ShipEasy. If you're shipping items close to home that are over 1 pound it's a good solution to straight Priority Mail. That's the basics of it and you should be able to find some into on USPS site. Hope this helps.

Regional prices do not match weight-based prices. The price for the "A" boxes is between the rates for 2 and 3 pounds. Here are the current rates:

You can purchase postage for Regional boxes through eBay shipping labels or through USPS Click N Ship with no surcharge.

Postage for the Regional boxes costa more than the postage to ship TWO pounds. And distance doesn't mater; there's no point in saying "close to home."
