Shipping Trading Cards with the new Tracking option ($20 and under)

Hello

So eBay just rolled out the new cheaper rate shipping option for trading cards $20 and under.  This is our sweet spot for our customers. We have started using this new option a couple of days ago, but I have not seen any of the tracking numbers scanned in at the post office. I assume this is much different then our typical first class package. I just don't want to continue down this road if we might have potential problems forthcoming.

Here is the link to ebays new shipping for cards :

Any insight would help

Thanks

Hi, I have gotten that error code also. I just keep clicking on purchase label until it does. The most it has ever taken for me is 2 times.

You will need to experiment with you printer profiles. Try using 4x6 instead of letter. I got my office jet 8600 to do it but it took a lot of fiddling.

I talked to my postman and asked him why he wasn't scanning my Ebay standard envelopes he said his scanner doesn't work on them and neither does my post office it has to go to the hub to get scanned 2 or 3 days later. There goes my TRS status.

I sold 1 cheaper card using this new eBay standard label with tracking as a "test" of the new service before I commit to changing my shipping method. It failed miserably! The envelope was suppose to go to Albany Illinois & the tracking stopped at status "Destination Processing" at location Historic New Castle Delaware!

Yup! & if they can't scan them at the counter then they can't scan them when they deliver to your mailbox! I assume the last scan is at destination sort facility where they mark as delivered & you have to hope they get from the sort facility to your mailbox with no issues

This tracking for standard envelope is a DUD! I am staying away from it!

Yet... I'm 68 years old and I don't think I've ever had an electric, phone, credit card or cable bill go missing. Nor my payments for same, and they all go thru the same process post last scan.

The good news for you is, this is an extra optional service, you can continue to ship cheap cards the way you always did.

Anybody know how to request a claim for non delivery of cards? 3 of my envelopes never made it to buyer! Last tracking status shows it being in "Destination processing" in Delaware but label has Illinois as destination State!

I'm having the same problem. USPS actually told me they will not track these. Customer service at eBay no help at all. She tried to tell me the weather is the reason it's not being scanned... Then tried to tell me they are still sitting at my local USPS. Went to my local USPS where I shipped them out. Guy told me they went out that afternoon.  Waiting for a call back from a eBay supervisor.

Re: Shipping Trading Cards with the new Tracking option ($20 and under)

Having the same issue. Definitely going to lose my top rated seller status as I have sold about 50 cards like this in the past month. Had a card that had no scans and had shipped on the 10th. I contacted the buyer asking if they had received. They told me they got it a week ago. Basically this a **bleep** shoot where you are most likely not going to get delivery confirmation. Best case scenario you hopefully get one scan along the way if they buyer claims they didn't receive.

I asked the clerk at the post office to scan when I dropped them off today and they said they could not scan them at all.

Re: Shipping Trading Cards with the new Tracking option ($20 and under)

I used the same shipping option and the buyer is in Canada. I shipped the card right after he bought it on 2/19/2021. It says processing at Oakland for the longest. Then the buyer contacts me what's going on can you check the status I can't track it. So I called ebay no help they said we will push it to higher team. Next day same thing kept bugging me about it. Finally tonight he messaged me threatening me I am going to leave a negative feedback and demand my money. Now he maybe has the card because you can't track it or show any delivery status and is trying to scam me for refund, or it's just taking it's sweet time do to the excuse of weather conditions. I told him to call ebay they told me buyer needs to call. So he wouldn't listen and kept messaging me threats. I left at that don't care not my issue the card is shipped. For a measly 5$ card your going to that extent. I won't be using that shipping service again.

Re: Shipping Trading Cards with the new Tracking option ($20 and under)

I have used this service hundreds of times now in the last month. If I drop off these envelopes at my large local post office (hub) it gets scanned in twice that same evening. If I go to the small post office that is closer to me it seems to get scanned in that evening about half of the time. These have always ended up being marked as delivered. I have seen transit times between 2 - 14 days.

I use a rollo thermal printer to print my labels. You can also track your items here https://parcelsapp.com/en/shops/ebay

Re: Shipping Trading Cards with the new Tracking option ($20 and under)

Dealing with the same issues - only half of my cards are ever scanning in, and I’ve got an angry customer who still hasn’t received a $14 card... and of course, despite being dropped off with others that scanned and delivered fine - this one is MIA and never made it past ‘label created’. Gonna lose out on the sale and hopefully not receive negative feedback in the process. This is a step up from the stamp and envelope method.... but still clearly falls short of hitting the mark on solving the issue with selling cards valued in the $1-10 range on ebay...
