Shipping Label Cost Problem

There is a seems to be a big problem with the cost of a First class label. I know there is a new surcharge on all USPS shipping. That is probably part of the problem I just paid more for a label than the total sale of the item and shipping. Has anyone else seen this problem yet ? Do I need to go to ship station for my labels as I can't lose money every time I ship a package thru Ebay labels.

You probably printed a Priority Mail label. eBay Labels has a glitch right now where the default is Priority Mail, you have to change it to First Class before you print label. When you change it, it will have the First Class price.

Void the label you printed and you will get the money back in about 2 weeks. Change the setting to First Class and print a new label.

The new surcharge is only 25 cents. I agree with the suspicion that you paid for a Priority Mail label.

There is a problem with printing labels and if you don't pay attention you will pay too much. 

When I went to print a label it wanted me to send a 3 oz item by fed-ex. When I hit the USPS option it switched to Fed-ex smart post and was still too high.

I finally was able to get it to USPS and it was more like what it should be. 

So just be careful when printing labels today.

Thanks that was the problem I really wish they would stop changing things and just stay with what works.

i have the same issue ad double checked, i am not shipping priority, i am shipping first class and losing about $2.00 per sale. can anyone explain this as i have not been able to contact customer service. this is really eating away at my profits. please help!!

Not a glitch. It's intentional. eBay wants buyers to get items quicker and doesn't mind tricking sellers into paying for it.
