Shoes that need to be authenticated were shipped to E bay and never made it to E bay or past a distribution center. Ship cover is requiring the buyer to verify (he)(She), never received the package even though the shoes were shipped to E bay and the buyer received a refund. Until this company corrects the way they do business we are no longer using them. Be ware of this company and know they need a buyer that is no longer part of a transaction to respond. This insurer seems to not really insure (shoe packages that require authentication), with what they demand. Beware. I can copy most parts of the letter that was sent to us from them if needed.

If you are wondering, this is the first time we had to file a claim with this insurer or any insurer.

Buyers can file item jot received claims if the authentication company never ships the item. Sellers will pay.
Authentication company keeps the shoes. This is not the first time this has happened.

ShipCover requires that there is communication from the buyer regarding the whereabouts of their item. They do this so sellers can't just file claims all willy-nilly. For instance, if an item shows a status of "OUT FOR DELIVERY", this usually means the buyer received the item, but the postal worker just missed a scan at the end of the day.
In that situation, the buyer most likely wouldn't even notice, therefore they would never contact you. However, under "normal" carrier claim rules, you would be able to file a claim and collect on the insurance. ShipCover simply wants to confirm that the person who paid for the item is the one looking for it. If they aren't, there's no reason to file a claim (ShipCover reasoning, not mine).

Ship cover just stated today you have to wait 30 days until you file a claim and another 30 days if the buyer does not respond and give them all details of the transaction to their business email. This means that if your shipper loses the package, you have to wait at least 60 days to be made whole, if you are getting shoes authenticated, because you can not even contact the buyer when having shoes authenticated. My shipper did finally find this package and had it special delivered to us. I have never been able to see if the insurer really does pay and hopefully never will need to.

It's actually 30 days after the latest estimated delivery date 😬

They will eventually pay for the cost of the item if you fulfill all their requirements, but they don't pay for the cost of the shipping label. I would highly recommend never using ShipCover insurance if you have any other option at all.
