I sold an item 3rd February. There is an eBay note that says "Ship by Friday 15th February" Does that mean I need to ship it before 15th February or it needs to be shipped at least on or before 15th February?
Handling Time is 5 Days. Days gap is 12 Days. Please explain

They have done that on several of my sold items. I don't quite understand either since my handling time is 3 days. One item gave me two weeks to ship.
I hope someone can come here and let us know what is going on.

Do not rely on a glitch.
You go ahead and ship it whenever is ready. You will better off shipping as you always do.
I noticed that last year, I am 1 day shipping, but it would show me I could ship 2 days later.
But I said to myself, either this is a glitch or Ebay is promoting us to fail in order to get our status down and so our discounts.

Your question does't make any sense. "before the 15th or on or before the 15th" If you read these forums and from personal experience, you will learn that Ebay can and will make up complete nonsense for a required ship date or an estimated delivery date.
But to answer your question. You sold on Sunday that doesn't count. You have 5 handling days to ship, that is the 8th. If you are late you get dinged.

If you want to be successful in selling you need to accommodate your buyers desires for receiving their purchases fast. Your competition is shipping within one day of getting orders. Your buyers are choosing who to buy from, and one of the criteria is when you ship. Other are not even looking at your handling time, but are expecting immediate shipment. We see these buyers complaints constantly on the buyers' boards when their purchases aren't sent right away.
Think about it.
