Not in any way directly related to eBay, but I bet I can get some good replies here anyway.

On Facebook, there is someone who wants to buy uncut, FF sewing patterns, doesn't care what kind, so evidently wants for reselling somewhere. Also on FB there are quite a few posters selling brand new patterns, so have to ask, is this a thing now? Just gave away a bunch to a local thrift, but have to confess that very few of them were uncut.

I mean, it seems like you answered your own question here: they're buying to resell, whether it be for a B&M store or because they plan on selling the patterns individually online. I was simply answering the question of WHY someone might want to resell unused patterns-- because there is in fact a sizeable market for them.
