Setting my Account to No Returns is a Blessing.

Hello everyone, Recently i set my account to no Returns on some of my listings.

I sold a Seat for a  2018-2023 Indian motorcycle.

The Buyer got the seat and shipped it back himself. He put a note inside saying I tried this on my 2025 and it don't fit. He also damaged it with some scratching.

He hasn't contacted me or requested a refund.

This is a first for me, first on Ebay.  Unchartered in my Territory. Shiver me Timbers.

I call those 'silent returns' and have gotten a few down through the years. As I recall refunded purchase price minus fees, but they lose their MBG when they do that, so it's really up to we sellers what we do, particularly if they damage the item.

Yeah i'm uncertain what to do as it came back damaged, a 1/4 inch area is bare down to the metal.

I would deduct for the damage.

ETA: Was that for the bobber? If so, the damage renders it in used condition now.

Yes it's from the Bobber.  The seat frame goes into 4 slots in the rear fender.  Nowhere in my listing does it say it would fit a 2025.

He rolled the dice assuming it would fit. Ugh

I'd be tempted to refund 50%. Dang.

I would assess how much you think you can get for it in the used, damaged condition it is in now, and refund the difference between that and what they paid.  I think I'm saying that right, but basically you don't deserve to be out any more than necessary and the buyer isn't entitled to anything, so you can refund what you feel is best.

Edit: the only consideration there is the fact that I don't see any sign that the buyer has left you feedback yet, so they could leave negative feedback still.  I wouldn't let that deter you, though.

No returns doesn't mean no refunds.

Buyer could always do a charge back since they did return the item.

Have A Great Day.
