Setting a Store

Hello,

I'm new to setting an eBay store although I sell on other eBay stores. I'm trying to create my own personal eBay store and I have noticed that my store is linked to my personal eBay account and every time I get into my store I see my user's name. How can unlink my personal eBay account from my store?

I hope you can help me.Screen Shot 2019-06-22 at 5.18.01 PM.pngScreen Shot 2019-06-22 at 5.17.50 PM.png

Every store is linked to whatever account was used to purchase the store subscription. They cannot be unlinked unless you close the store... likely pay an early termination fee... then create a new account to open the store. If you do that you'll have selling limits on the new account and opening a store will not increase your limits.

Re: Setting a Store

I am not sure I understand your question? It sounds like you have an eBay store with a different name than your user name? All eBay stores have to be connected to an account. You might be able to change your user name to match your eBay store name? If you do this you can then create a new buyer only account. Good Luck Selling!

Re: Setting a Store

Change your account name to match your Store name.

In any case, unless you have over 100 unique listings ready to go, lose the Store.

Any member can list up to 50 items absolutely FREE GRATIS FOR NOTHING NADA ZIP!!

Phone Customer Support (on Monday for the Utah office, who seem tohave more flexibility) and ask to have it closed and the monthly fee refunded.

You can't even use all those 50 FREE listings because all new sellers have a restriction on the number and/or value of the items we list.

If you are restricted to 10 items and/or $1000, you could list one $1000 item or 10 items for $100 each or 10 items for $10 each.

But no more.

At the end of 30 days, you can call Customer Support and ask to have the restriction loosened.

BTW, any payment made by your customers will also be Held for up to 21 days (less if you are in the USA) against your customer satisfaction.

I would suggest further, that before you list anything, you do a little buying to build your feedback. FB is a measure of trust and even FB as a buyer will help you with your future customers. Doing some buying also will help you see the eBay system from your customer's point of view.

Since you have other accounts, why not turn one of those, with an existing 100% positive buying feedback into your Selling account, and use this one for buying?

There are no refunds when closing a store. The last monthly fee is prorated per days of the month used for billing purposes.

Could you clarify this, please?
