Just an FYI to sellers that accept offers - I just noticed that my Buyer Requirements page has a new option to "Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer." I don't remember seeing that before but helpfully eBay has already checked it for me. I know they've been working on this update for a while and I hope it reduces unpaid items for sellers that accept offers. Might be worth checking your buyer requirements to make sure it's checked. https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements

Sorry to disappoint--I should have been more clear. Everyone has that entry on their Buyer Management options, but it's functional only for those in the beta-testing program. It even appears on my Buyer Management screen, and I'm posting with my buying account. 😊

I think that still applies only to sellers who are in the beta-testing phase of the "immediate payment required" (IPR) for offers feature at this point.
Seems like they've been testing this feature for a couple of years now, although it probably hasn't been that long. eBay has not communicated why it's taking so long--whether there are objections from buyers or sellers to the feature, for example.

I guess that means I'm one of the lucky ones in the beta. I'm happy to have the option even though I very rarely allow offers and when I do, it was usually a mistake. Thanks.

I have accepted a couple offers where on the offer it states that IF I accept without countering the item is paid.
Usually takes a couple minutes once the offer is accepted before you get the Paid email.
It is nice knowing that if you accept its pretty much a done deal.

Thanks. Presumably, at least I'm ready when it does go live for me.

This requirement is for when you are buying something, not for when you are selling something.
