I have sold an electronic item which requires a spreadsheet of frequencies and other data to be programmed into the item with software the buyers usually don't have. The messaging system simply does not have enough characters, spaces or tabs to get the information through on that, and a direct upload of a spreadsheet or external form is the only way I can accomplish this.
I usually include the link to a google form in the listing but this time I forgot, and sent the link directly through the messaging system.
I know eBay prohibits web links to things such as advertising your own web store, but this link is needed in order to complete the transaction. The item will be rendered useless if I cannot get the information from the buyer.
Is there a problem with sending links like this through the messaging system?

Or it could be physically included in the package sent to the buyer.

It needs to be programmed ahead of shipping it with something the buyer sends me. physicslly including something does not work. Unless they were to physically send me a snail mail printout.
I don’t see any email under the PayPal website transaction.
