Every time I send offers it results in selling some of the items at full price. Can anyone tell me why that is? It's happened too often to be a glitch in the offer response.

When you send offer to watchers it actually boosts the visibility of those items so other buyers see them to, and that is why someone else comes in and buys at full price. Its a good thing. And a hack to get sales let the offer to watchers build up a few days then send a pile at once.😀

Can you explain exactly what you mean by "sending an offer"?
Are you taking about sending offers to interested buyers, or making a counter offer to a specific buyer's offer?

@donnaat27 Sounds like your buyer opened the offer and hit "view item" then proceeded to the "Buy it Now" button which is at your listing price. What they should have done is accepted the offer to buy it at the reduced price. I hope that is helpful and wishing you much success in 2021.

It's not a glitch. I have experienced the same thing. I really think when you send offers to buyers for a item, i think ebay may give a little boost to that item. When my items are ending with maybe a hour left, I end the items and relist them as a sell similar item. I usually wind up getting some sales from doing this.

I have had this happen to me 3 times. I send an offer, buyer accepts. When they go to pay it actually shows the full price amount that they have to pay. Not the accepted offer price The buyer usually writes a note in the comments section when they pay that they are accepting my offer of "X" amount. I then have to go in an do a partial refund for the difference. A HUGE pain. This is definitely a glitch somewhere. Two of the buyers told me they have had this happen to them many times that the agreed offer price is not moved to the payment/invoice page.
Am I correct in assuming that I have been paying the final value fee on the full price amount, not on the amount they actually paid after my partial refund? (The accepted offer amount)

My theory is that when you send out offers to watchers, ebay sends emails or notifications to people who have viewed the item but not watched it (I get an email daily on something I have viewed as sales research), and occasionally people will buy from those. This just happened to me too, and I was looking to see if others see something similar. I got quite a few sales and counter-offers last week by sending batch 10% offers so I tried it again this weekend and got 2 sales right away, one for full price.

Why would you be unhappy to have sold an item at full price? Be happy!

I don't think I said or implied that I wasn't happy, I simply asked why it happened.

I'd be fine with that if it wasn't a buyer I had sent an offer to and they thought they were getting a discount. I'm not clear what is happening with all the posts about offer problems. I'm starting to fear sending any now until things are explained or fixed--whichever is appropriate. For some reason, I've seen nothing from ebay about the problem or if things are merely designed to work differently now.
