I want to send an offer to a buyer. They responded to a promotion I sent asking if I would sell more at that price.
Sure I would like to. I asked if they would tell me how many they want. I want to know how to send them that promotion again for how ever many they want. I looked up articles about how to send offers.
The article said use the Reply with offer button on the message but there is no such button on the message??????
I told them to put however many they want in their cart and message me again to ask a question and I would send them the offer for that price again since I couldn't figure out how to send the offer from the message (I guess maybe since it was already a special offer sale? the reply with offer button was not available?)
I would think ebay might want to make it extra easy to make sales in their messaging so people are not frustrated and try to go off site due to inability to make the offer here.

I just used to do a work around by creating a personalized listing especially for that buyer. Create the listing with title like “listing offer for tclynx” so no random buyer will search and run into it. Then in the description outline what you are selling them. Once created, give the buyer the URL to that listing for them to buy it now. Done.

Should be two different spots in the message you can do it.
When you go to view the message:
Or when you reply to the message:

Those buttons are not there! At least they there not there in the message I got from the buyer in question.
Hopefully they will message me again with how many they want or send a message/question about the product again and maybe I will be able to send them the offer and if the buttons are not there I guess I will have to do the work around.

That's been my system too, but with one minor change.
My title is the customer's ID only, because there are those who will Search "Custom Offer" or "Private Listing" or the like looking for bargains.
I also make those listings Fixed Price/Immediate Payment Required and give the customer (who is after all just a teeny bit demanding) a deadline for purchase.
If the deadline passes, the title can be changed quickly and the timewaster blocked.
