Can ebay stop the ever so irritating same buyers from watching everything I have and never buying, I'll send 100s of offers, then go back and see the same people watching. OR is this ebay itself. I'm pretty tired the the whole process, when I'm not interested any longer, I unwatch as a courtesy

You can only send one offer to each buyer for a specific item unless they decline your offer, then they are opening themselves up to a new offer.

Some of my buyers will decline an offer and message me with a counter offer. They know unless they decline, I can't send a new offer. If they let the offer expire, I can't send a new offer later on either.

People watch an item for many reasons and it doesn't always mean they want to buy the item.

Have a great day.

Here's the thing about jewelry...your photos are OK.

The quarter next to the item is so excellent I wish more sellers would do that.

I would use a ruler for the length of a chain. Not to hit on buyers...but some do not know how long it is only in words...a ruler would work.

I did see the first item with "Allstate Protection"...I would get that off your item(s).

Not sure if you are able to see people watching your items...as I never send offers.

I have 500+ watching items...never sent a discount to anyone.

Some might be other sellers comparing what you are selling or using your selling words to sell their items for sale.

Consider other sellers using your words of the same items for sale...it's a compliment because you are more intelligent than them. LOL.

Sometimes the offer times itself out. People aren't on eBay everyday and will eventually see that the offer expired when they sign on again.

I believe an offer can only be sent once as well.

The watcher who loses out may come back later and buy full price or ask for discount.

Newer users also have a learning curve. (Buyers).

The seller doesn't have any control over that.

Watches last until the watcher ends it.

Views last for 30 days.

Watchers and Viewers are those who did not buy your item when they saw it.

Of the two, the Views are more useful, since they are generally more recent.

Rather than manually sending Offers to Watchers or Viewers, who have already seen your item and decided not to buy, why not add Best Offer to your listings?
Then the interested customer can reach out to you.

PLUS

You can add parameters for an automatic Rejection or Acceptance of that offer.  And the difference can be a penny.

You never see the rejected lowballs. The lowballer gets a polite message from eBay telling them to try again.

I've seen BOs with two or three rejections before they hit the sweet spot and I get the sale.

Small problem- Best Offer acceptance ends Immediate Payment Required, so you may want to opt for automatic Unpaid Item cancellation if the customer has not paid after 96 hours. But that is not a common event.

Just ignore them, and be glad that at least you don't have to feed them.

100% agree I watch items all the time with no intention of purchasing the item. Also a LOT can happen to a watcher over the period in which the listing is posted. Grated not everybody is an eBay buyer but worldwide:

  • About 150,000 people die everyday, many times that many have medical emergencies
  • Thousands, possibly millions have or experience life altering events
  • Thousands are impacted by natural disasters: tornados, floods, fires, earthquakes
  • War or civil unrest

Please explain how you know who is watching your items and that "it's the same people watching?"

Don’t sweat it.

Are you defining watchers as soon-to-be buyers? If so, you will invariably get disappointed. Views and watches are only important because they are an indication your items are being seen. They are of little value as a predictor of sales.

So i would encourage you to not lose any more peace of mind over it. As sellers we have no control over who is looking at our listings (unless perhaps one is doing some outside sales promotion or advertising, targeting certain population groups).

Best of luck to you.

Yes, ebay could offer an optional: watching as a seller, not interested in offers.
