I have been using the "send offer" feature, and having some good success. However, most of my listings have multiple quantities available.
Based on the responses I get from buyers, my offer is for only 1 piece. I usually get responses like, I will accept your offer, but I would like to buy 5 of them for that price".
Is there a way I can send an offer for multiple quantities with this feature?
The workaround has been to create a new listing for the offer price and the additional quantity, but that's more work and uses up listings.
Is there something I am missing to be able to offer multiple quantities?
Thanks in advance.

When submitting offer, the offer is sent for 1 item, however you are allowed to send a message to prospective buyer along with the offer, in the message, you can indicate that cost for multiple items, 1x$ 2x$$ 3x$$$ and so on, perhaps just do a percentage discount, say 5 or 10% or what ever % you feel comfortable with.
Conversely, you can comment the same on your listing, mentioning discount on multiple orders.

Percentage discounts are perfect from 10-20%. This allows your buyer to buy multiple items at the discounted price for purchasing a larger quantity.

I think the most convenient way is to offer quantity discounts in the original listing. I just starting using this on a limited basis. In the future I will offer increasing discounts on higher quantities for slow moving items.
For now you might give 2% on two, 5% on three and so on up to a limit. The discount tool for multiple items is easy to use.

So if I use a percentage rather than a fixed price, the buyer has the option to change the quantity to the amount that they would like to buy?

I see quantity discounts in the original listing and the "send buyers an offer" as two separate features. One gives buyers of multiple quantities an opportunity to buy for a lower price and give them an incentive to buy more.
The send offers feature is a way to get in front of the buyer an additional time and proactively give them an extra reminder or 'push' to purchase the item, especially with a lower price.

As long as it's not a multi variation listing, you can ask the prospective buyer to send you and ASQ on the listings and you should then be able to send them an offer for multiples.
Whether this works if you've already sent an "offer" using the bulk 'send offer' I'm not sure.

Sorry, what is an ASQ? These are not multi variation listings.

Thanks, I have done that on a few, but then logistically, how do they make the purchase? Does it require them to go back to the listing and use 'best offer', or do I create a new listing like I have been for the request quantity and amount?

It gets a bit messy, but it can work. To start, If buyer is making offer, it would be nice if they indicate the # of items they want, but that is another topic altogether.
Not sure if this will work with the new changes, but if memory serves me right, this is your scenario:
When you get offer, typically it is for one item, and the buyer mentions multiple, lets say you both agree on $10 for one, two $17, 3x $23, this is just an example. Buyer agrees on 3, when you accept offer, you can amend some of the information for the shipment and submit invoice detailing qty and $
Again, not sure if this works now, but I think that was the process.
I feel its best that on original listing, you offer a percentage discount to encourage multiple orders, maybe eliminate offer (just a thought)
Others might chime in on this.

Maybe, so you're saying use the "request Invoice" feature and change the information there. I will have to try it, it seems to me like quantity would not be an editable field.
I'll have to wait until a willing participant comes along to do some testing.
Thanks.

ASQ is Ask Seller a Question, if you get a reply box with "make buyer an offer" that is where you would edit the qty and amount for each.

Oh, tricky. I will try that also next chance I get and update the thread.
Thank You.
