No, it isn't normal. It's a scam. If they want to buy, they can use the normal purchasing procedure. They can make a purchase with their PayPal accounts right here on eBay--they don't need your PayPal information for any legitimate reason whatsoever.

The scam involves sending you a doctored/fake PayPal email telling you it's okay to ship--which it isn't.

Stop any further communication and put the member id on your Block Buyer List ASAP.

No, Buyers don't need a PayPal account email address, they can make the purchase from ebay's checkout.

If they don't you can cancel the transaction on the 5th day marking Non payment.

They are attempting to scam you.

"I accepted a buyers offer they asked me for my PayPal account email address is that normal?"

Within eBay's procedures, no, it is not normal.

However, among scammers and thieves it is normal to ask for the seller's PayPal info.
Usually only a scammer or a thief will ask for this info.
Especially if the seller is new to eBay -- it does kind of look like you are a new seller, based on your Zero  positive feedback score.

If some purported buyer asks you for some way to "pay" you that is not within eBay,
Do Not Do So!  Do not give that information.

No.  Sellers use managed payments.

Stay safe and keep it on ebay.  Do not text!

It's a scam. Stop emailing. On the 4th day and 1 minute exactly when the ad ended, CANCEL the transaction with the buyer did not pay.  This clown is trying to scam you.  Even if he does eventually pay you, can almost be 99.9% certain that he is going to scam you again.  He will say you shipped a rock or you shipped something else. He will return any piece of garbage and will get a refund and get to keep your item.  I have not looked but I bet it's a pricey item, either electronics, jewelry or designer items.   Whatever you do, do not relist this item here until you get lots of feedback.  You are fresh meat to a scammer.

Add the following to your descriptions.

All payments must be sent through the Ebay Pay Now button.  All payments are due in 4 days.  ALL payments will be verified in MY Ebay.  All items will be shipped to the address provided in the payment. I use Ebay Shipping to print my labels.  ALL communications MUST be through Ebay only.

Copy and paste.   If you had the above in your description, that scammer would NOT have chosen your ad.

I am sorry. How can anyone that lives in this day and age think this would be anything but a scam.

Normal for scammers trying to scam numpties. Sure. Use your brain.

Or go back and read terms and conditions of selling on eBay.
